I'll start up front with what I wasn't expecting - you are basically in the owner's yard. So if you are looking for seclusion this is not your spot.
However, as long as you're okay with that, this place is fantastic. It's in a converted pavilion that lends it a very unique and cozy layout. It's an old building, but the decor and furnishings feel modern and comfortable. The host did a great job of providing some snacks, beverages, towels, linens, etc. Overall, very clean and cozy spot.
Our favorite things about it were:
- The creek out back (my kids had a blast splashing around and fishing)
- The fire pit (with a great supply of wood)
- The proximity to some fun stuff. We enjoyed dining at Jean Bonnett, hiking at Shawnee State Park, and getting way too much ice cream at The Igloo. We also really liked walking around the small town of Bedford - very cool shops there.
All in all, great spot to take the family for a mountain getaway.
