Larry, I appreciate your review and as in the listing we state that we live right beside the cottage but do our best to keep to ourselves. Also, as listed, the cottage was a dance pavilion back in the 1950’s and was moved and repurposed into a cottage in the 60’s. We’ve done our best to make it a quaint and cozy getaway. As for the neighbors, I’m sure you have no control over your neighbors… the same holds true here. We cannot control the old cars they have setting on their property (which are not visible from the cottage). I’m sorry that affected your getaway! Thank you again for choosing our cottage, I do hope it was a nice respite for you.

Thank you for your review of our cottage! I appreciate the mention of guests with disabilities possibly having issues. We do have this listed in our description so there’s no surprises. There are a couple of steps up into the cottage and then a step up into kitchen/ bedrooms and a step down into bathroom. We are located less than 5 miles from downtown Bedford and also close to Shawnee State park. While there are no “amusement “ areas near by, anyone looking for a quaint town getaway or a small beach/ hiking area… you’ll find Bedford has a lot to offer! Roxanne, Thank you for your review. The creek the cottage is along floods 2-3 times per year. If the cottage were any closer to the water, it was be flooded often 😕. The steps are provided to reach the small dock down at the water level. We do have noted in our cottage description about the 1 step up into the kitchen and bedroom areas as well as the single step down into the bathroom. I’m sorry that posed an issue for you as well. I do hope you enjoyed everything else and appreciate your feedback!

Thank you for your review. Our cottage is beside our home and yes, the yard is shared. With that said, we do our best to keep to ourselves when we have guests in the cottage. I do enjoy being able to greet folks and chat a bit. But try never to bother or disrupt anyone’s getaway. I hope that doesn’t discourage you from another visit. And I apologize if you were looking for a totally private spot! We have lots of neat places to visit in the area and I’m glad you were able to take some of that in! I appreciate the compliments regarding the cottage itself! I’m glad you were comfortable and had everything you needed.
