"Bar W is a gorgeous ranch located perfectly close to Whitefish get far enough to properly experience the peace and quiet of the Montana countryside. All the staff at Bar W were friendly, happy and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and at home. The lodge is stunning, homely and comfortable and I could envisage spending more time there with a group of friends or family. "You can't beat the location of this hotel and the convenient access to top hiking trails. The staff and dining are excellent. I have stayed here twice and my only complaint is that the mattresses are uncomfortable. "

I’d love for my husband and I to return and stay for more than 1 night. We also heard about the owners’ son who was murdered in Singapore and purchased the book about it while there. We tipped everyone and if we knew about the gratuity fee being included we would have not tipped. We did enjoy our stay and just be aware of all the extra fees and taxes that get charged. It’s a beautiful place!!!"
