"We visited Sandusky for the 2024 Solar Eclipse, and even this hotel was desolate considering the buzz surrounding the event. It's definitely an older hotel, and some of the rooms are cut off from the main lobby and are accessible only by going outside to the front of the hotel. It's a dated experience but for the cost, can't complain too much. Just don't expect a super-modern Holiday Inn or anything of the sort. Rooms were clean and bathrooms were recently updated. "3 stars for staff only because ofbthe restaurant staff. Not sure if the hotel has anything to do with the staff inside the restaurant but I wasn't impressed."

"This was our second time staying here. This place is within walking distance to all the restaurants and bars. The unit we got this time, the hot water tank went out completely and we were staying there another night - there were 10 of us staying there. The owner was extremely accommodating and allowed us to stay in the unit next to us for our last night AND allow us keep our place that didn’t have hot water. Hands down - excellent customer service!! We will be staying there again. "
