"Mahana House was a lovely, well-appointed lodging. The room was very spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the comfy robes, lanai for morning coffee and evening cocktails, and the yummy fruit we picked on the farm. The shared kitchen and laundry had everything we might have overlooked. We even enjoyed fresh homemade banana bread from the housekeeper, Val. We grabbed a cooler and beach towels for day trips. We were able to do laundry before leaving. "We were delighted with Honoka'a and enjoyed an evening at a ranch west of Waimea, day trips to Kona, Hilo, a tropical garden, Hilo Farmer's market, and Captain Cook monument (for two of us hikers). The accommodations were great for 6 adults. Also enjoyed the oranges off the tree in the backyard."

"This is a great place to stay to get away from it all! Close enough to Hilo to get back into the all of you want. We also wound up driving north around the island to the west side a bit more than towards Hilo. Just sitting on the porch and looking out at the sky & ocean was so peaceful. Wish we had better weather. Got 1.5 sunrises and one night starry sky out of 7 nights but, that was only the fault of Mother Nature. Still so peaceful in the rain. The cottage itself is fine for two people, tho...

"Dale’s Vintage Farmhouse was just perfect. We stayed 8 days, using the farmhouse as our home base while we enjoyed the island. Our last day we rested at the farmhouse, just savoring the sights and sounds. Fresh squeezed oj, coquis chirping, gentle breezes blowing. We will truly miss this place."

"This is our second year renting out this house. It was a perfect fit the first year so we wanted to come back again this year. The house is spacious with the upstairs and downstairs rooms, bathrooms. The garage was big enough to fit two vehicles which was perfect for the rainy days. The house is fully stocked with all the amenities. We would stay here again if needed and would highly recommend families to do so too. This was truly our home away from home. Mahalo!"

"A stunning and beautiful situation and location. The hosts Garrett and Kaia were so pleasant to deal with and very helpful. They made suggestions as to sights to see and good places to eat, going so far as to even picking up a meal for us. There was plenty of room at this location for all of our family and each member had their own room. Out grand children greatly enjoyed the animal life both domestic and wild. "My husband, five year old and I stayed here for 3 days. We really enjoyed our stay! It was a beautiful open floor plan, artistic decor with big slider windows leading out to the patio. At night there was a wonderful cross breeze and sounds of geckos and coqui frogs floating on that breeze. It was in a convenient spot, not directly in town but close enough to go out for food, drinks, beaches, etc. The owners were kind and quiet. Their dog was such a sweetheart, our daughter loved the encounters...

"We loved this place so much! Thoughtful furnishings, a very nice house, but best of all is the location! We saw whales, stars, goats, wild pigs, sunrises, ships and barges, beautiful waves, and fruit trees. It was peaceful and quiet—away from all the people and bustle. But a quick trip to Hilo and other small towns with amenities. Perfect location to go to Volcanoes or just anywhere on the island."

"Hotel bem localizado e estrutura geral boa, porém encontra-se degradado, sem reformas, dando aspecto de abandono. Serviço de camareira péssimo, não colocou toalhas de banho por 2x, tendo que reclamar por elas, entrou no quarto e não retirou o lixo, não arrumou as camas alegando que tinha objeto pessoal em cima dela. Cafeteira do quarto quebrada. Uma das recepcionistas excelente, as demais são razoáveis."
