At night the loudest sounds came from the spring peepers in the wetlands at the bottom of the road! The host was very friendly and responsive. Lots of room in the apartment which even had its own patio. Great for a small group or family- even the pet can come!"

I would figure out a way to let people know it is on the 3rd floor before booking though because some people may have a problem with the stairs. There may have been a mention but I missed it somewhere."

"I stayed at this apartment Sunday-Saturday and loved the experience. The visit was personal and professional. Internet connection was great and I was able to work as if I was at my regular desk. "Everything was very neat and check-in was easy because the instructions from the owner were so clear. There was a tad bit of noise from either a neighbor or the owner (space is attached to a home and share a wall) one evening and a bit of an odd smell the whole time. Not bad but not pleasant either. Like long after you’ve cooked something and a scent remains but no longer smells like food or maybe like the smell of a puppy that’s just come in from outside. Nothing that should keep anyone away...

The first picture is a little misleading, since the house is actually in more of a suburban neighborhood instead of a historic one, but the area was still fairly nice, and we could easily take the bus into Boston or commuter train up to Salem. "Stayed here for one night with my son when we arrived in Boston to launch our week of college visits. It is walkable to tufts and restaurants for breakfast and dinner. Communication with the host with my only complaint. We had questions ahead of time that went unanswered. They were clear instructions inside the unit itself but no help ahead of time from the host. My main concern was parking street parking is available though it was jammed up when we arrived. It did open up later in the evening....

"The upstairs apartment was easily accessed and well lighted for night time arrival. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom very clean with hot water and plenty of soft towels. The hot chocolate and candies were enjoyed by my grandchildren who got to sleep at “grandma’s house” for a night or two."
