"The hotel was clean, quiet, and safe. Good price. Definitely NO bugs at all. Check in person went above and beyond because of a big problem of booking being messed up. Should not take hour and half to check in after already paying. Not the fault of hotel staff though, just to be clear. Awesome people working for this hotel."

"Everything about our stay was great, but the room had a very strange smell to it. I have no idea what the smell was, but even the citrus spray designed to cover odors and a wax warmer weren't enough to defeat it. Other than that, everything was great. The property was easy to find, the man at the front was very friendly, the room was clean and in excellent condition other than the smell, and parking was a breeze. Overall a great value."

"there was some construction activity on other side of lake that was a bit intrusive of the peacefulness; the one bathroom is attached to master bedroom, so that guest had to walk through master to use the toilet. (minor inconvenience); eating options were at quite a distance, since the grille at the closest marina is closed M&T. I would recommend making this obvious in the listing, but the view was wonderful and I spent the day reading on the porch, which was very relaxing."

"I came here to WORK in the Alabama Cumberland Plateau mapping forest types while staying in a comfortable cabin / cottage close to my project area that would be cheaper than a hotel and with better food options. WOW, I could not have had a better experience here; the setting with large trees, an active stream, and some fine bird song, was PERFECT. Now, only if I can find a reason to come back for something other than work; perhaps the Flying Carpet property upstream!!"

"Very clean, pleasant and comprehensive little house. Well stocked (the Keurig and K-cups were an appreciated extra). Suited my needs perfectly. Large yard was nice to have to look over sitting in the shade out back and pleasant to sit out front as well. Situation was very local Alabamish :-). 7 minutes to a great little 18 hole golf course -Cross Creek. Only 20 minutes to the shrine where I was at retreat. So coming home to this "cozy retreat home" was nice."

"This little woodland cabin was wonderful! Very clean, comfortable beds, so many different places to sit and relax. The wrap around porch is definitely one of the best parts. We had storms while we were there and my daughter and I loved sitting out and watching the rain and lightning from the sofa outside. We, sadly, didn't get to meet Buster and Peanut as our trip was cut short due to illness (1 year old daughter with high fever), but hopefully will next time. We definitely want to stay again!"
