"This is a gothic type hotel. Our room was very comfortable and nice. Had a slight problem with dust. We had originally booked three nights but only stayed one night as the hotel premises were not what we expected, especially the breakfast dining which I believe is not very appropriate for having breakfast. However our breakfast was brought up and was excellent. The photos of the hotel on this site should show the premises so that people know what to expect. "

"Overall a great place to stay if exploring the area. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The large bathroom had a walk-in shower and lovely roll top bath. Very cosy bed and good quality linen. Tea, coffee and water tray provided. Some biscuits would have been nice. Negative was the room was very warm and we could not open windows. Excellent breakfast but limited menu in the evening, for example, no chicken dishes for anyone who doesn’t eat red meat or fish. Deserts not home made and clearly...

"Lovely clean room close to airport, had quite an uncomfortable bed though so didn’t have much sleep before an early flight. The place was spotless and would stay again if mattress was updated "

"Overall, the accommodation was lovely – not five-star luxury that we’d expected for the price, but we had a lovely trip away. Fridge is very noisy which resulted in a restless sleep on both nights. There was noise from the neighbouring room - you can clearly hear talking from there. No details provided on COVID precautions anywhere in the room. "When I went to check in the person behind the counter told me I did not have a reservation. This then began a series of events that caused significant stress. My phone was out of power as was my lap top. I took my lap top to a neighboring hotel where I was able to see I DID have a reservation. That person was not there when I returned but check in was fine. When I eventually saw the person in question he said I must have made the reservation that day with no apology"

"Brilliant little place to stay, good for just coming and going when you need without the hassle of keys. Parking was ok outside on the road. Very clean and tidy, just no hot water in the sink tap which was weird as you cant wash unless having a shower but overall great place to stay for a cheap short stay."

"Sue and Graham are such wonderful and welcoming hosts. The property has so much character, well maintained and very clean. Other than the weak wifi connection in the room, everything else was excellent. The breakfast in the morning was a really highlight - great options for vegetarians and pescatarian alike. Would highly recommend!"
