Great location and great room
The location of the Hyatt is great. We booked a river front room and it was a plus. The room was clean, housekeeping great and the breakfast was good. (I stayed there in April 2019, and the breakfast was better!)
The main issue was the check-in. We traveled from Brazil to Washington, and I sent an email as well as I called 2 days prior to our arrival, informing that we would arrive around 5am. So, when we arrived, the night people (3 girls) were lost with the system, didn't know what to do to check us in, and we were begging to help us, as we were traveling for almost 24 hours. They told us that "if they had known about our late check-in, they would be prepared". After 30 minutes, we finally got our room.
On the next day I met the most amazing, helpful and friendly person at the hotel: Rayshawn. I talked to her about the issue on the check-in and she told me that everything about our late check-in was in the system.
After that, all my needs were fulfilled by Rayshawn with excellence!
On our departure, as we had an early flight to catch, we had to check-out early, and again the night/morning staff were not prepared, they said they were new on the job. They wanted my credit card number which I found strange, as I had already paid for the 12 nights in January/2023.
So, my recommendation is that there should always be a trained person with the newcomers.
