"My wife and I stayed here for our 20th wedding anniversary. It’s was such a relaxing experience. Just the two of us the river and the thunderstorms. Absolutely amazing. The host was very helpful and the place was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend. The only thing missing for us was a hammock lol. One key thing, do your shopping before you get into town, the country mart is the only store and it’s very expensive."

"The wife and I have made three trips to the area and have stayed at Gill Ridge. Twice at Koi Pond and once at Ellens cabin. The properties are always clean and stocked with plenty of towels, bedding and kitchen cookware. Lots of firewood for the fire pit and grills for outside cooking. Nothing beats laying in your hot tub aftef dark under the stars! Plenty of places to eat in the area and things to do for all ages. We will be back again for our next weekend get away."

"The listing said there was WiFi but it never worked for us. I reached out to the owner and my concern was not acknowledged. If I had been traveling while working this would have been terrible, as I have to have WiFi for my remote work. I’m okay if I don’t need it, but if the listing says it’s there and find out it’s not, that bothers me a bit and makes me a little uneasy. We lost power, it came back on pretty quick. The cabin is cute and cozy. The views are incredible!"

"This property was exactly what we were looking for. It is peaceful, serene, beautiful. Loved taking the walk daily down the mowed road through the field down to the river with our pups! We also drove down to the river too.The cabin has an old world charm and the essentials you need like pots and pans for cooking as well as some small appliances, fridge and oven. "The cabin and the grounds were perfect for our annual family Thanksgiving trip. Hands-down, definitely the best stay we've had so far. The cabin, interesting with it's history, has been beautifully and functionally updated. Cooked dinner and two breakfasts on the outdoor Blackstone griddle (nice touch!). The fire pit and s'mores were wonderful. Plenty of room for everyone. And, the property and river were so unique. What a great place. Super hosts (thanks Donna!)."

"We celebrated our 4oth wedding anniversary with a magical stay at The River Place with our four sons, their wives and our eight grandchildren. This amazing place could not have been more perfect for our group. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep, eat, and play. We loved hanging out at the river during the day and by the fire pit at night. It was the most relaxing family gathering we have ever had! I cannot say enough good things about The River Place!"

"This place surpassed our expectations! The home was extremely clean and comfortable. The property was amazing. Sitting on the porch and hearing the water moving in the creek was so very relaxing. The owners were so helpful and we really enjoyed visiting with them when they stopped by to milk their cow. The weather wasn’t ideal but it did not interfere with the experience. Would definitely like to book again."

"Our family loves riverside locations and the Hazel and Oliver cabins did not disappoint. The lovingly restored cabins on the bank of the Meramac were well furnished and ready for a relaxing stay.
