Ótimo custo-beneficio
Hotel simples mas confortável. Estava tranquilo, pois a maior parte dos hospedes eram idosos. É perto de restaurantes bons e fica em uma ótima praia. O por do sol é espetacular visto do hotel. A Marcia que organiza a festa semanal dos hospedes foi muito atenciosa e a moça que fica no hall vendendo os passeios também nos ajudou muito com informações sobre a cidade.

Hotel bem localizado, mas só, quarto com varanda virada pra rua e cortina de "papel", barulho e claridade noite e dia. Móveis velhos, enfim, muito ruim

Praia do hotel bonita, mas com ondas e correnteza
O hotel fica muito bem localizado, no final da St Lawrence Gap, que é uma rua cheia de bares e restaurantes. A praia porem não é boa para crianças pequenas (vi poucos adultos no mar tbm). Muitas ondas fortes e correnteza, não sei se é só nessa época (fevereiro). O quarto é confortável mas poderia ter pia na cozinha, além de micro-ondas e frigobar. Os canais de TV são pouquíssimos, não tem canal de série ou filme, mas isso não considero um lado negativo. O tamanho do quarto é ótimo e a cama também. Forneceram berço de madeira para nossa bebê.

O hotel é simples porém bem localizado. P quem quer descanso e um lugar pequeno tipo pousada. Estava cheio e a grande maioria eram europeus e acima dos 60 anos.

Dover Beach Hotel
Eu e minha esposa ficamos hospedados de 28/11 a 03/12 e tivemos uma estada muito agradável no hotel. Nosso quarto tinha uma linda vista para o mar e apesar de simples era bom (com exceção aos travesseiros). Os funcionários do hotel são prestativos em especial a consierge (Mary) que estava acima do padrão e foi sempre muito simpática e prestativa. A localização é excelente, pois fica ao lado da praia e a 2 min de caminhada de outra que tem uma infra-estrutura um pouco maior, além de ter ponto de ônibus perto, o que facilita muito a locomoção. O fato de quarto ter uma cozinha integrada nos agradou. Recomendo o hotel para quem procura praticidade e não requinte.

O hotel é bom, com ótima relaçao custo-benefício e boa localizaçao. O único cuidado a ser tomado é com os nativos que ficam ao redor do hotel. Há tráfico e consumo de drogas e os nativos abordam os turistas constantemente. Além disso, os nativos abordam as mulheres sem o mínimo de pudor, mesmo estas estando acompanhadas ( principalmente as brasileiras )

bons dias em Barbados!
Boa relação custo/beneficio, boa localização, piscina limpa e funcionarios em geral muito educados e prestativos, com excessão das moças da recepção, sempre mal humoradas e sem nenhuma paciencia com quem não domina o ingles. Café da manhã ruim e caro. O quarto é bom, amplo, com varanda, cozinha equipada. Barulho de conversa e tv do quarto vizinho à noite, e sempre tem alguma torneira pingando, uma manutenção ia bem. Mas sem duvida recomendo o hotel.

Dover Beach Hotel is such a cute and quaint hotel, located in one of the best spots in Dover. Right next to/on the beach and a short walk into the Gap, for us it was perfect. The staff are all so lovely and really try to make sure your needs are met. The room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed in our kitchenette. We enjoyed our days between both pools and thoroughly enjoyed the choices for breakfast at the restaurant on site-the waffles are so yummy. There are some great spots to grab lunch or dinner on the main road, in particular Socialites and Irie Foods are fantastic! The vibe at the hotel is laid back, comfortable for everyone. You can really tell the staff care about how you're liking your stay. This wasn't our first stay here and certainly won't be our last! Keep up the good work DBH team! Thank you for a lovely time :)

The restaurant staff are in dire need of customer service training. We had to seat ourself, find our own menu and cutlery and dust the sand off the chairs and tables before sitting. Ordered a soup starter and mains and for some inexplicable reason everything was served to us all at once. By the time we were done with our soup which was unbarebly sweet for a "vegetable soup" our mains were cold. Food lacked flavour and staff were cold and unprofessional. When done with the meal no one showed up for us to sign off on the bill....we had to go find the staff ourselves. Overall a very dissapointing experience.

A typical 3 star hotel. The front desk staff are very lovely, friendly and welcoming. I was disappointed that there was no coffee machine in the room because that’s standard at all hotels. We had to buy our own coffee at the convenient store down the street. We asked for small packets of cream and sugar from the restaurant at the hotel but they refused to give us any unless we purchased a coffee from them. The water from the shower head was spilling over the glass door and making a puddle in our washroom on the first day but the staff quickly jumped on it and fixed this immediately. It’s a good hotel if you’re looking for something more affordable while travelling. The location is perfect and in the lively st. Lawrence gap area. Very touristy and the locals are very kind and friendly. We never felt uncomfortable even when we were walking around in the dark at night.

The staff were really personable, kind and professional. The rooms were clean and correct. The common areas are not in perfect condition, but that was a fair trade-off for the price. In total it was a pleasant stay without the cost of luxury resort prices.

I am not sure exactly what you were looking for in your room as our rooms come with with shampoo and body soap. Commodities which are found in most hotel rooms. We have brochure sstands with the various tours and excursions and our staff would have been happy to assist you.We do apologize if you found that our team members were not friendly as they usually go beyond the call of duty to assist our customers. Perhaps you may want to message me to point out the particular departmentThe beach do change from day to day especially around Easter. We have no control over this. Sometime it is calm and other times it can be rough. However it is a long stretch of beach.and some areas can be calmOverall, most of our guests enjoy their stay.at Dover Beach Hotel.We wish you all the best

Customer Service needs upgrading!! My spouse and I arrived at the hotel 10 minutes before check-in time. We were met with a dry impersonal attitude of "your room is not ready yet". We waited another 40 mins before we were informed that the room was ready. There was no explanation, no genuine apology and the "thank you for your patience" sounded automated. At breakfast, the fruits were stale and almost spoilt. When I informed the waitress she took away the slices of watermelon and carried them in her hand. Expecting a replacement, none came. Neither an apology. At the end of breakfast, we asked if we would be receiving a replacement or alternative (since we were paying the same amount), Miss waitress rolled her eyes, pouted her mouth and asked reluctantly "what would you like to have?". Really?? Dover beach you need to do better than that. From the front desk to the "restaurant" at the back of the hotel, customer service is a stranger. Training in hospitality is needed or get better staff!

If you like walking to a coffee shop every morning and trying out great restaurants then this is a good location. The hotel itself is quite tired but kept clean. Our room was facing the ocean and you can't manufacture that view. It is spectacular. The kitchenette is very limiting. You could pull of a simple breakfast with cereal/toast and a cold lunch. There is NO OVEN and the stove has to be lit with a match. One day our fridge turned off so we had to through out some juice. When we got there we had to ask for a coffee maker. We ended up not using it because the Cake Lady was a short walk away and they makes great cappuccinos. The bed was no uncomfortable but lacked in sheeting and blankets. The textiles we shabby and need to be replaced. In a pinch I would stay there again but only for a short time. ( 3 days)

Dear Penelope,Thank you for recent visit and for taking the time to share your review.We do concur with you that we have a great location, within walking distance to shops and a variety of facilities.Some of our rooms carry kitchens which are equipped with most equipment to prepare a meal. Additionally, you can request a toaster oven, a coffee maker and blankets. Our beds are made with a defender. 2 sheets and a coverlet. We think that is adequate coverage .With our position near to the sea we are forced to have a continuous maintenance program as the sea air can have a devastating effect on the building. My wife and I had a great 3 day stay at Dover Beach Hotel. Our room was clean and spacious. There is a beautiful pool on site. The beach was very nice!! Lots of options for dining within walking distance. We are recommending Dover Beach Hotel to my wife's sister whom will be coming to Barbados in April.

End of the St Lawrence Gap Hotel
First time to Barbados so first impressions are what sets your stay. The taxi service that we had from the airport was pricy since they wanted $20.00 US that’s $40.00 Barbados a little steep. This service works for the resort. The restaurant has a limited menu but it is easier to pay by credit card since they love to take the US money and give their money in exchange. The staff was very attentive and polite. Security is good. House keeping is very respectful and they do a good job. This is an older beach hotel but needs some upgrades. They do a good job keeping it clean.

Great hotel, friendly staff too. Accommodation very spacious. Little kitchen area could have been better stocked with Pans, but wouldn’t put us off coming again.

All staff were very friendly and took care of any requests / issues immediately. The hotel and room are was very clean. Room was quiet but somewhat dated. I’d say this is typical for a 3* property. Within walking distance of the restaurants in St Lawrence Gap, however the better choices are about 1.5km away. Right on the beach with beach chairs on hand. Would recommend if you’re looking for an affordable stay.
