This hotel hosts many conventions for corparate companies. Large groups of 300-400 employees which then have events and take over the amenities such as the pool and restaurants surrounding the pools. We were kicked out of the pool because the company that was hosting the event wanted no people in any of the pools. We were rudely kicked out by staff, it was disgraceful how they did it. Screaming and yelling get out!!! We were not notified by staff there will be an event that would restrict our amenities, the reason we chose El Conquistador is because of the pool as we have small children. They charge a lot of money in resort fees and rudely and without warning just kick you out of the pool. They kicked out all the families there out of the pool, vacations ruined. It was horrible entire family vacation was ruined and we were celebrating our daughter 9th birthday. Such a beautiful hotel ruined by the staff, absolute disaster we are NEVER going back!!!

Our first room had a dead cockroach by the entrance. The room smelled like mildew & there was another bug in our room. I called to get our room changed & they accommodated us. The second room smelled nice and it was very clean. Took both of my daughters to this resort and we loved it. The coqui water park was a lot of fun as well as the beautiful Palomino island. The food and drinks are expensive, the only place we enjoyed was a restaurant in La Marina which we had to take the funicular to get to. This resort is very kid friendly. Its a beautiful, spacious resort.

This was the nicest resort I have ever stayed at. The rooms were of high quality, the amenities are up to date. The resort is incredibly picturesque. You feel like you have access to a catamaran as you’re taking the water taxi to Palomino Island. Everyone, overall, was very friendly.

I love the property beautiful scenery. But a few uncomfortable things there need to repair or change . Security at the bathroom ( super danger bath tub ) you can have a accident easy. Regular showers only available on special persons rooms . Property Parrots really sad see every year The green parrot need urgent veterinary attention . The property have a huge space to have more free and comfortable out side the parrots Instead a inside cage. Every year a ask the customer service about why the parrot look like nobody doing nothing the green parrot health and always said there vet will come that week . With the employee face look like the information is not true. Really said, there need to take action ASP. Food is not the best only a few items from the pool bar or the Marina restaurant are good the rest from 10 I will said 0. It’s always better eat out side. Over price food for the quality.

The property was absolutely amazing! The amount of effort they put into this place for customers to be relaxed and happy is just amazing. The views from anywhere in this property are absolutely breathtaking and everything everywhere is clean. Even by them currently remodeling some areas, they know how to keep it looking amazing. The only thing that I do recommend, is that they do something about the room mattresses because to me and my wife, the bed felt hard and uncomfortable. We woke up with back pain as a result of this. Other than that everything in the room was perfect and cleanliness was perfect. I will definitely be recommending this property to others and I will be returning in the near future.

Beautiful property! Staff was very courteous and helpful. Loved my view and Palomino. My room, was in the marina. Walls are incredibly thin. I could hear everything next door. The room was a decent size but a little dated. Pricey but in a beautiful and safe setting. I enjoyed my time there.

I will start with the positive. The resort is very pretty and the views are great. The staff is friendly and the common areas are very clean. My issue was with the rooms. I checked in and my room smelled like humidity and the AC was not working properly. They changed my room (after telling me there were none available) and that one too had a broken AC. They then offered me a room on their new building (which had working AC) but wanted to charge me $100-$140 dollars more. I was reluctant to pay more. They finally gave me another room. The AC was not great, but it worked and we were tired of changing rooms. We spent a total of 5 hours in this ordeal. On the positive side. The employees were polite and friendly. We did ask for a monetary incentive for all the trouble, and they agreed to take off the resort fees. Recommendation is to be careful in picking rooms. Call hotel after booking and make sure. The rooms we were given were in the Brisas. We had room 3332, 3328 and ended up staying in room 3444. The the third room they offered but we didn’t stay in (because it was more money) was in the Vistas wing room (#4442). Recommend staying in las Vistas and not las Brisas. Another couple traveling with us (and a 6-month old baby) had room 3308 in Las Vistas and the first right, they found cockroaches all over the room. Hotel ended up giving them a room in Las Vistas for no extra charge. Overall, if you want to stay here try to not stay in the Brisas wing.

Roaches in the room! This hotel has being the worst experience we had in a hotel, we have travel a lot around the world and this place takes the win for the worst place! So my story star when we arrive at the property a group of 10 taking 4 rooms once of the room when we did the check in was hot ac not working those family spend the hole day trying to fix the issue with the room. On our end we got a room full of roaches when we arrive at the room at night there where roaches walking all over the room we where traveling with an small baby i was beyond discounting, the change our room and give you "an upgraded " rooom and take out 1 night of resort fees i feel this was not enough for the trauma cause and having to move all our stuff at 11pm after have packed with an small baby! The boats that take you to the "private beach" sucks the fact that you pay so much and you have to do a line to get in a boat to go to a beach it's a no no! They have big boats that can carry more ppl but they are not in use so insted they have an small boat, so that's why big lanes and ppl running to try to make it to a boat. When we one it to leave the island our group was separated for 2 ppl because the capacity of the small boat! Whoever rate this hotel 5 star! Has never had a 5 star experience, because definitely this place it's not!

The hotel boasts an excellent location and is likely the largest facility on the island. The ferry service to Palomino is notably organized, clean, and reliable. However, encountering a roach climbing the sheets in our room was quite unexpected. Moreover, the lack of satisfactory customer service in response to our complaint was disappointing and not worth positive remarks.

This was my first time in Puerto Rico and it will not be my last. El Conquistador delivered and exceeded on every expectation. The food, drinks, the breathtaking views from our balcony, Kristina at the front desk, the servers at the restaurants, Palomino Island, the concierge who set our tour of El Yunque Rainforest, to the smallest things like Adriana arranging our taxi back to the airport. My husband and I had a wonderful time at El Conquistador.

Service for this hotel was lacking for the level of this hotel. We used self parking. One evening we asked for some plastic to protect us from the rain/wind (they have shuttles to transport you from parking area to hotel) and evening manager basically told us that he gets wet as well and there’s nothing he can do. Concierge services Do not get back to you in a timely matter. Lastly, the front desk are not friendly. I will say that the hotel is kept very clean, and Palomino Island was Really good. I’m Palomino Island. The employees were extremely courteous. Unfortunately, I would not return To this hotel, as I expressed my concerns, and nothing was done about it.

The property was very nice - pretty landscaping, great pool area, nice shops within the property and several nice dining options. Loved the breakfast bowl restaurant (I think it was called Oates). Service was a little slow sometimes, but I think it was part of what we grew to recognize as "island time". Overall, a very nice place - would recommend and would go again.
