Ambiente agradavel
Localização excelente, quarto confortável. Piscina boa, bom atendimento no bar. Café da manhã muito caro, paguei 58 dolares por um omelete, dois sucos e dois cafés!!! Estacionamento também muito caro, 44 dolares a noite, corresponde ao preço cobrado na região. Clima do hotel muito agradável para jovens.

Muito bom
Hotel com ótima localização, que nos permitiu conhecer várias atrações turísticas de Los Angeles sem complicações ou contrariedades. Ambiente moderno, funcionários educados e descolados, muito receptivos. Bom ambiente para usufruir na piscina, com atrações diárias. Lugar que passa longe da monotonia e ideal para namorados e jovens casais. Quartos confortáveis, embora com cheiro incômodo e alguns vazamentos no teto. Voltaria com certeza!

Decepção do hotel
Nessa mesma viagem fiquei em outro hotel perto do Hotel Standard, que recomendo muito mais que o Standard. Não ficaria de novo neste hotel pelos seguintes motivos: o hospede não tem prioridade a nada. No dia que chegamos no hotel a piscina foi fechada para um evento privado, o que impossibilitou de usarmos. Nos outros dias, como pode ter pessoas não hospedadas no hotel usando a piscina, fica inviavel ter cadeiras para os hospedes. O que deveria ser de prioridade. Os funcionarios quase todos mau humorados e nada simpaticos, dando a pessima impressão da vontade de estar ali na obrigação em atender. Tanto na parte do bar, quanto no restaurante do hotel. Alem disso, o meu quarto era virado para a rua o que no primeiro momento achei excelente devido ao som da musica da piscina, mas depois descobri que o som de carros devido a avenida ser movimentada o tempo todo era um desastre. O que me fez gostar menos ainda do hotel. O que eu gostei do hotel? O tamanho do quarto, cama, e o chuveiro. Não recomendo este hotel, mesmo sendo um hotel de jovens!

It's an hotel oriented to a younger crowd. In walking distance to Marmount Bar, House of Blues, Comedy Store and Skybar! Nice deco and cool pool area.

Noisy and hot rooms
Large rooms, nice bed but the air conditioning simply did not work properly and for some reason the room was hot. It was impossible to open the windows because of the street noise and at night it was possible to hear the music downstairs. The hotel seems great but in the end I don't recommend it.

Pretty good stay - could use some improvements
The best thing was the balcony overlooking the pool. The carpet had a couple stains. Furniture had been removed, so there wasn't much. No glasses or cups in the room, no paper plates provided with room service. Room service was fast though. Shower was ok - good pressure, but no door so it flooded the whole bathroom. No shower products provided. The $30 per night for parking was a surprise - and pretty excessive if you consider that the lot was about 1/3 full, and no valet service or luggage carts provided. Bed was very comfortable.

Hello Karen, Thank you for stay with us. We appreciate your support during our reopening and your feedback. Due to Covid-19 we had to remove all the high touch items from our rooms. Some of our furniture had to be removed comply with the social distancing protocol by Los Angeles County. Bell service is also available upon request. Essentially most items that used to be in our rooms, like all other hotels in Los Angeles County, are now available upon request to ensure cleanliness and safety for our guests. Parking fee is $30 per night which is well below the other hotels in our neighborhood. Again, we are happy to have you with us and got to be a part of your special trip. Come back soon. By then, we do hope things are closer to normal than now. Please take care and stay well.

My new go-to when in L.A. Cool hotel with a mid-century L.A./Palm Springs lounge vibe. Great WeHo location on Sunset, incredible staff, and really good food. Way to go team at The Standard!

Love this place!
The Standard is always an experience! I love The Standard especially their property on Sunset Strip. Ran into some well known fun folks out by the pool and partied till 2am. Always an experience!

Not best standards at The Standard Hotel.
The room had a damp musty/gassy smells, large rm but no seating in the room (nothing to sit on but the bed or floor..so odd). Very very sm closet could only hang 4 items. Thin walls could the neighbors talking and TVs shows. NO air conditioning!!! There aren’t any electrical outlets next to the bed (to charge a phone/etc). The fire alarms went off several times (for no reason, no emergency or test) during the day...and 2 times in the middle of the night (at 1:15AM and 1:25 AM still no emergency)!!!

Since our alarm system detect changes in temperature and moisture. It, unfortunately will set off sometime during the rain which is the case here. Anything but Standard. Gross,old, and dirty.
Gross hotel, hasn’t been updated since the 80’s when it was a big club destination. The room is moldy, cheap decor and smelled. Stay anywhere but here - I’ve stayed in dozens of The Standard Hotels and this gives them a bad name. It’s disgusting and they should close it down or sell it as fast as possible.

Great stop off

As for as Housekeeping service, we do provide daily service between the hours of 8 am and 5:30 pm. Turn down service is neither advertised nor offered here The only skip service when PRIVACY REQUESTED is displayed on the door. We do apologized if was any sort of miscommunication on our end.

Hotel is super run down, old and smelly. It used the be cool, now it is just old and boring. Toilet paper is the worse I have ever seen, towels are old, no coffee machine in the room, carpet was dirty, just not what I expected. When I arrived and left, no one helped with my bag down the few steps to the taxi, valet guy was chatting with another employee and completely ignored me. The only good service I received was at the restaurant.

Time travel in Hollywood
The hotel design is a bit tired but it would have been cool at the time it opened. I like the colours of the hotel. Pool area is amazing and the location of the hotel is good. Comedy store is around the corner and easy to get both to the coast or downtown LA.

Take a second look before you book
We were not aware there was NO AIR CONDITIONING- This should be in bold on the page- I expect way more from The Standard. I had to buy a fan on Amazon to get air in our room. The entire 3rd floor hallways smell like mildew. The "24/7 kitfchen" that was bragged about at check in was closed 3 times late at night when we wanted to order. We were also told on the way in to our room by the front desk attendant at 3am "I don't want to hear about a noise complaint" before we event got into the elevator. I felt very judged and disappointed at the level of service. I was told we would be receiving a partial refund for the trouble and we did not see it. We also had Uber Eats foos stolen from outside our door and called security and never heard back.

Jason, We appreciate your candid feedback regarding your stay and respect your point of view regarding your stay. Our records tells a different story especially the Uber Eats incidents which you should address with Uber directly as the hotel has no parts in it. While we have always realized that we are not the right hotel for everyone and regret that we are not the one for you, we do hope you find anotherr accommodation in Los Angeles that better fit your need.

Very nice quirky design hotel in a convenient location. Great pool area with some city views and a cool bar. The hotel was very quiet while we were staying, lacked the buzz/energy I was expecting. The valet is steep ($41) and if you don’t need in/out privekefes note there is s parking garage half the price across the street. They forgot to clean our room but when we complained they rectified the issue

HARD PASS
Wow. Do not just rely on the standard brand to book this hotel. It is not nearly at the level of the Standard in other cities. It's super old, the sheets feel like plastic, it was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in but worst of all it smelled like an old toilet. I've genuinely stayed at roadside motels that were better.

Marc, We are so sorry to hear that we did not live up to your exceptions. We realize that there are many differences between us, the original location, and all of our new sister hotels. We are constantly working on making improvements to provide our guest with better product and services. However, please also take our price point into considerations as compared to our other newer locations. We work hard to keep this property true to its original intent... to be the affordable hotel on Sunset Strip for the young and creative group of people. After 20 years, our community of loyal guests has grown and is very supportive of us. We accept that we are not the right hotel for you. great location, fun vibes, wouldn't recommend.
this hotel was in the perfect location for my work, has a super fun vibe and great common spaces in the lobby. there was water dripping from a vent in the ceiling all night into my room, and the bathroom flooded after taking a totally normal shower. when i told the staff all of this at checkout, they apologized, said that all the bathrooms flood because of a design flaw, and took off my room service charge. so, the customer service is fantastic. but i wouldn't stay there again.
