Serene and peaceful
The property is beautiful. I went for a self-care long weekend on my own. The space is comfortable and perfect for a easy get away in nature. I spent more of my time sitting on the porch, than inside. The property is rural, but doesn't feel completely disconnected. Close to 2 great hiking parks. Laurel was attentive and had the place stocked with the necessities and then some.

Absolutely beautiful farm and view!
Staying at the farm was very peaceful. My niece got married on the grounds and it was so beautiful! Laurel was extremely attentive for both my stay and the needs the day of the wedding. I highly recommend this beautiful farm and i cannot wait to go back!!

A Diamond in the Rough
So happy we stumbled upon this listing. How wonderful it was to wake up and have coffee on the top floor deck while watching the horses with the mountains in the background. Total serenity. Thank you for your southern hospitality, we will definitely be back.

Perfect

Exceeded Expectations
My wife and I had such an enjoying time staying at Winsome View Farm. We met the host on the first day. We were able to learn a little about her and the history of the place. Everything was very neat. Everything we needed was provided. And I would highly recommend hiking to the overlook of Hanging Rock. The whole park was beautiful and more than I was expecting.

It was wonderful to meet you as you walked the trails around the farm. The view from the top of Hanging Rock is spectacular!

Beautiful location and wonderful hosts
The location was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed the time that we were able to relax in the peace and quiet. We had vehicle trouble on the first day of our stay and Laurel offered her husbands shop if my husband needed it and she offered to pick us up dinner and deliver to us. We have never had a host this accommodating or helpful. We will always remember their kindness! The town of King itself has several restaurants and grocery stores. And the cutest road side pumpkin patch. We hope to be back again some day!

Awesome stay!
We couldn't be happier with our choice of where to stay! The views were amazing, especially at sunset. The host was warm and friendly and we enjoyed talking with her. The accommodations were the best we've ever experienced in other VRBO's. Our dog was the reason we looked for a pet friendly VRBO and this one was perfect. We hope to stay here on another trip someday.

A Lovely Farm Experience
I could write a novel's worth of nice things to say about our visit to the Winsome View Farm but to keep it relatively brief it was a wonderful experience! You have a great view of the farm’s pastures out back on the balcony, and of the mountains on the patio. A lovely spot for families looking to unwind in the countryside. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Fabulous
The background of the horse farm and mountains were surreal. The cabin was just the right size and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The access to hiking was exceptional.

Peaceful retreat
We did a return weekend visit to this pleasant little VRBO between King and Hanging Rock State Park. So nice and quiet and relaxing. Just the getaway we needed.

LOVE this place!
If you want to get away from it all, come here! I can’t believe the price! Really enjoyed the like new unit with large TV in bedroom and the bed was so comfy, I ordered one! Mountain, horse views. And the owner was very nice and accommodating. Stay here!

Unique and very nice
Stayed with wife and toddler for a weekend to run a trail race in Hanging Rock State Park and to just experience the area. Nice all around in way of check-in, check-out, cleanliness, views, park access, and proximity to grocery and restaurantsl

Wonderful Retreat

Weekend Getaway
This cabin was excellent! My dog and I went and enjoyed the large property to walk around and the two nearby state parks! The fire pit was so nice on a mild summer night, and I can’t wait to go back!

Fabulous barn conversion in the heart of nature, an absolute gem
The barn loft is a fabulous place to stay and well equipped, we had an awesome week of hiking and relaxing right in the heart of nature and the tranquil surroundings with views of Hanging Rock State Park and the Blue Ridge Mountains (we were spoilt for choice on views from the decking and the outside living space. Laurel and Jason and their family were absolutely fabulous hosts and gave top notch hospitality with a fountain of local knowledge and advice for activities in the area; they went above and beyond to make our stay welcoming, fun and luxuriously comfortable, we can’t thank you enough. We primarily chose the barn loft for it’s location, remoteness, wildlife, bird life, dog friendliness and close to some brilliant hiking trails. There are trails on site at the property which has 40 acres of land/woodland on its doorstep and also within Hanging Rock State Park (truly amazing) along with Pilot Mountain, Dan River (for kayaking) just to name but a few beautiful parks and recreational areas. It is easy to find and is close to King which is a small town with plenty of amenities and shops; there are also plenty of local farm shops to get fresh produce for your stay. We have saved this VRBO property on our trip list and very much intend to return to enjoy this idyllic setting and recharge with nature in its purist form and for the incredible hospitality. Thank you Laurel and Jason and family for all your hard work and generosity in making our stay so wonderful.

Wonderful
This is my second time staying at the Barn Loft, and it was just as wonderful as it was the first time. Anniversary get away
My husband and I needed a short Anniversary get away. Winsome Views was the perfect spot. We enjoyed hiking at Hanging Rock State Park, sandwiches from the Daily Basket in Germanton, the camp fire and of course the views! As others have stated, I was apprehensive about the detached restroom: I packed my robe and it was perfect to slip on to walk over, no issues!

Great place to rest and relax
Very tidy barn loft equipped with literally everything I needed. Comfortable bed, big tv, and a place to work if needed. There was also a great view of the mountains. Hanging Rock State Park is very close and my dog and I had fun hiking there. Overall, I had a great stay!

Peace with a wonderful view
I’m gonna try to make this short, this was short but a wonderful experience. The place was awesome, i’m never going to get Tire to tell all my friends and family of the beautiful cozy loft with a gorgeous view of the mountains and when you think things cannot get any better, I met the owner Laurel what a incredible human being. If you ever get a chance to go, we don’t hesitate you will never regret it.

Great Weekend Getaway
Sierra was great! The kids loved the horse riding lessons and the property was beautiful. Short drive to Hanging Rock State Park. Highly recommend if visiting the area.

Outdoor Wonderland
The Barn Loft, horse farm, open fields and owners were absolutely perfect. The owners made sure we had everything we needed. Our dog Bella loved the openness to run. And I loved the fire pit!! Can’t wait to go again.

Our stay was amazing & relaxing! Laurel is an excellent host. Everything is well thought out & the property is absolutely beautiful! If you need to get away & unplug, this is the place for you! Amazing get away!!!
We had such a great weekend!! The place has everything you need, quiet and comfortable! The best part is the extra attention my daughter received helping the with the horses and great opportunity for riding lessons! She was in heaven!!! Its great location to good local restaurants and hanging rock! We will be back!
