"My wife and I along with our 2 small dogs had a very relaxing, peaceful week at Hall’s River Retreat. This is our 2nd time staying and we will be back. "Outstanding location, near waterfront, tourist venues such as boat rentals, and several eateries. House was very clean and fully equipped. Although entirely satisfactory, this is an old house and has some quirks, such as a toilet sticking out of a closet in one bedroom and a very spongy floor in some places. "The property met our needs of two bedrooms and pet friendly. The location right past the RV resort was a little odd but not an issue. We were coming for scuba certification so that was all we needed. It feels like the renovations are not complete. All the pocket doors and the pantry door need work. What was done so far was nice. "I looked for a place for our family to get together for a vacation and also celebrate my mothers 90th birthday. I have 3 grown children and 2 grand kids 18 months and 3 years old. "Overall we were pleased with our stay. The beds were comfy, location was great, and property was overall exactly as described. Unfortunately, three of the adults were attacked by fire ants all over their feet in the backyard, but I did notify the homeowner and he was very apologetic and said he would get it taken care of before the next guests arrived. Overall, great stay and great communication with the owner!"

"Perfect little gem of a home along a canal leading directly to the river. Full of thoughtful touches. The dock was a happening place! We saw turtles, manatees, crabs, cranes and tons of different fish right from the house’s backyard dock. Would definitely stay here again!"
