"Came for a week to revisit Halifax and area, but stay in a quiet area. It was great, caught Fleet Week, saw Peggy's cove, Lunenberg, all the stuff in Halifax, narrowly missed the incoming storm....Good Luck folks. Spent a lot of time talking with Nova Scotians who are great people, always had the feeling they'd give you the shirt off their backs."

"This was our second stay at Legacy and both times have been terrific! Everything we needed to enjoy our week. The grandchildren loved playing in the yard and frequent trips to the beach. Great spot for families or couples! Sad to say we will have outgrown this cottage by next vacation, or we would happily return! Mary Jo S and family"

"Great location, good value. Cozy and comfortable for a week’s vacation. Only challenge is accessibility, I had assumed that both main floor bedrooms would be usable for adults but the small bed is just foam on plywood, so it isn’t practical for an adult to sleep in that room."

"We would definitely choose this place again if we stay in Mahone Bay again. It was very clean, well kept and adorable. Kitchen was fully functional. Small, but perfect for a couple on a romantic getaway, or a couple with a small child. My only slightly negative comment is that the bed is a queen, not a king, and the listing does not specify the size of bed. But that's just a very minor point and I would still stay here again."

"So restful and an astoundingly gorgeous location. Couldn't be happier with the stay, the house, the area, and Phil gave such good advice! We had a glitch with the stove (our problem, not the stove) and he popped over to straighten us out in a flash. Finding the place in the dark was a bit of a challenge; if you have cell coverage, it should be fine. Otherwise, it is wise to examine a map very carefully before you set off (in the dark)."

"We had a fantastic stay at Frank & Val's place on Heckman's Island. The river is so peaceful to wake up to at sunrise with the sound of loons, and we were also greeted each dawn by deer quietly roaming around the cottages. There were lots of great movies for the kids to enjoy, and we really appreciated all of the complimentary, organic & unscented amenities provided in the kitchen, laundry and bathroom. Highly recommend this location for your stay in the Lunenburg area!"

"Our hosts Randy and Arlene were helpful in suggesting places to visit.Location was great for visiting such places as Halifax,Chester,Lunenburg and Mahone Bay.Cottage was beautiful inside and out,spotless and all the amenities one needed.The view of St Margaret’s Bay from cottage was amazing!We would definitely recommend this cottage as a perfect place to spend time at.We hope to return again! "My wife and I loved our stay; the ‘tiny house’ was wonderful; lots of room, cozy, welcoming, and tastefully decorated. "If you are considering staying on the South Shore this property is highly recommended. Everything from start to finish was perfect. It is in a beautiful cove with lovely views from the terrace. "Absolutely fabulous place to stay on the South shore! 10 minutes from gorgeous Bayswater Beach/Park. Alan and Brooke went above and beyond to make our stay superb. Cottage was cozy, comfortable and spotless! We couldn't have asked for more! Highly recommend!"
