Conference stay

Great spot in Boston
Loved the convenient location (easy walk to convention center, waterfront, etc.). Stay was very comfortable and owner was very responsive to a question we had during our stay. Fireplace was a nice touch when the weather came in!

Great location, great place, great price.
The place was clean and well decorated. Washer and dryer worked well. Beds great. AC/heater worked well. Location ideal within walking distance to the red line and convention center. Burger King and pizza just next door. Thanks for a great week!

logement bien localisé dans un quartier sécuritaire et familial, à proximité du métro, à distance de marche acceptable (30 min) du centre-ville. Bien équipé. Superbe parc à l'arrière. Je recommencerai sans hésiter !

Boston une ville accueillante
Très bien situé pour des visiteurs qui privilégient le transport actif. On peut se retrouver au Boston Common ou au Quincy Market en 30 minutes de marche. Le métro est à moins d'un demi km. Le quartier est fort sympathique . La rue Broadway offre plusieurs services commerciaux. L'appartement est fort confortable, agréable et décoré avec goût. La communication avec Tom était facile et amicale. Nous recommandons chaudement cet appartement.

Great location when attending a convention at the Boston Convention Center
We stayed in this very comfortable home while attending a convention at the Boston Convention Center. It is an easy 8-10 minutes walk making it a very desirable location for convention attendees. The host was prompt in replying to our questions and was very accommodating. The home was very comfortable with a living area, two bedrooms, and one bath. Everything was very clean. There is a small kitchen with a gas stove, ample dinnerware and cookware, and some staples. Coffee was provided for the Keurig machine as well as coffee creamer, which was a very nice touch. Although we didn't use it, there is also a washer/dryer and ironing board in the basement. It basically has everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is a small grocery store, liquor store, and several restaurants in very close proximity. We would definitely stay here again!

Great stay
This is the second time we have stayed in this apartment and we are just as pleased this time as we were the first time. It is clean, well furbished and located in a nice area of Southie.

Cute city apartment
It was clean inside..upon entry to building foyer work was being done on the ceiling and it was dirty looking so glad that didn’t carry into apartment. Apartment did smell of cat urine. I was informed construction workers would be present Saturday before our arrival but not that they would be back Monday and Tuesday and wouldn’t be able to get in since we had the keys and they were rattling the doorknob on the glass back door and my husband had no idea who they were. City apartment across from firehouse so very noisy with traffic on the weekend. Would’ve been a little cramped if we had truly had 4 adults.

Sorry you had less than a five-star experience Amy. As you pointed out it is an apartment in the middle of a city. There are fire trucks, police cars, ambulances etc. That is not something that is in the apartment owners control. Also, I am sorry that there was repairs being done while you were there but I do work hard to keep the property in good condition so that happens from time to time.

Highly Recommend!
We had an amazing stay at this apartment! Tom, the host, was great & very accommodating to us! The apartment was perfect for us (2 adult couples). The location was even better! No complaints at all! And would highly recommend to stay here!

Jeremy, first, I am sorry that you had less than a five-star experience. I wish you had called me when you smelled something wasn't right. Another tenant reported the smell and we discovered a small plumbing leak in the hallway ceiling. As you described it affected the hallway and at the basement. Though the smell may have smelled moldy to you, mold wasn't the issue. Again, I am sorry that you had less than a five-star experience. Tom

Good stay in nice area
Place was perfect for what we needed. We were in town for a boat show so we weren't in the unit much. The only issue we ran into was finding parking. Wish the listing gave you some suggestions on where to park.

Great Place Close to the Heart of Boston

Thanksgiving Weekend
The apartment worked out very well for our family of 4. We were in Boston over Thanksgiving to visit family nearby and opted for an apartment over a cramped hotel room. The extra space worked out perfectly for us! The neighborhood was pleasant and easy to navigate. We enjoyed our stay!

Perfect little home away from home
This property was just perfect as an alternative to an expensive hotel while I attended a conference. The walk was an easy 15 minutes and easy to navigate..even for a person who gets easily lost and turn around. The two-bedroom rental was decorated simply and charmingly, and I really loved the faux fireplace under the television :). Everything I needed was in the property such as towels, shampoo, soap....and I was even able to find a few kitchen staples already there (salt, pepper, butter...etc). The property is not far from several grocery stores (20-25 minute by walk) and I felt safe in the surrounding neighborhood. I really enjoyed my little home away from home in Boston here.

Perfect Boston getaway
We had a wonderful stay at Tom’s apartment! It’s bigger than it looks in the photos, and the beds are so comfy! It has all the amenities we needed, in a great location just 10 mins walk from the subway, and a lovely neighborhood. There is a grocery store just down the road for supplies and plenty of great restaurants nearby. Tom was incredibly accommodating - he let me drop bags off early, and gave us a late check out as we had an evening flight. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Fall Weekend In Boston
Impeccably clean apartment perfect for two couples spending a weekend in Boston to soak in as much of the city as we could. Wonderful neighborhood close to everything we wanted to see and do. Tom was very responsive to the few questions we had. We were able to drop off our luggage early, allowing us the opportunity to take an afternoon walking tour on our arrival day, maximizing our time in Boston. Thank you Tom! We couldn’t have picked a better place for our stay!

Wonderful property
Yes, this was exactly what we had hoped for our girls retreat! It was well extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated. Having two bedrooms gave us the privacy we needed. The apartment was conveniently located and we felt very safe and secure. Everything was so enjoyable. We hope to stay there again.

This was a great place to call home for a weekend trip with friends. Great little neighborhood and easy to get to the T. Yummy restaurants and easy access to needs in the hood. Great location to the rest of Boston. Apartment was very clean. Loved that we had different colored towels sets to avoid any confusion. Beds were comfortable. Beds and pillows were comfy. Easy check in and easy check out. Fairly priced, as Boston is a pricey city and so are rentals. Property manager was very accessible and responsive. Parking was not a problem at all (had to walk a few blocks to unit but that's city living). Only issue was that the wine key on property was not good quality but somehow we got that bottle open. Yes a little noise from the neighbors above or out on the street but these things are out of anyone's control and part of being in a city and were not excessive. It was a great place to stay. Thank you!

Comfortable for short stay.
All was good, except for 2 small things, could not find a wine opener and we could not get the dishwasher to turn on. Tom responded promptly re dishwasher.

Great location and the walls are very thin
This is a great location if you're attending a conference at the convention center, especially if you can enter the conference on the Lawn D side. It's about a 10-minute walk to Lawn D and 15 minutes to the front of the convention center. It's also a close walk to several food options on W. Broadway and not too far from Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. However, the walls are very thin and I could hear the people above me at night. If you're a light sleeper, I don't recommend staying here. I was so tired by the end of the long conference days, so I fell asleep quickly each night, but the noises were distracting when I was trying to get work done before bed. The owner wasn't very communicative prior to my arrival when I sent one message during my booking and two messages prior to my arrival. He was more responsive when I arrived. If you're staying for leisure, this is a good option. But if you're staying for a conference or business, I'd recommend a hotel for a quieter setting and access to a business center for printing, etc.

Portia, I am very disappointed that you did not have a five-star experience. I gave you an early check in and you were unable to check out on time and I accommodated your luggage until 2:30 p.m. when check out is 11:00 a.m. I thought that bending over backwards for you would results in a stellar review but I guess not.

We had a nice stay in South Boston. Good restaurants (though hard to get into some on Friday/Saturday night when college is in session). Close the T and other transportation modes. Great host and property!

Great Place in Southie!
We had a great stay here. Two blocks to the bus line or 5 minute walk to the subway…or Uber right outside the door. Nice location and nicely appointed condo. Very comfortable and clean. We slept great after our day trips all around town. Thought we would eat in more often, but couldn’t resist so much great food in town. Highly recommend. And Tom was very communicative and accommodating. Thanks!

Excellent location and amenities
Tom's place was ideal for our family of four. It had everything we needed for simple meals, plenty of space, and was very clean. Great location an easy walk from the Broadway T station. Parking tip: since we were driving in on a weekday, on-street parking wasn't available. We rented a spot via SpotHero on 2nd Street next to the playground that was very convenient and close to tbe house (and more affordable than other options).

Clean, secure location close to Convention Center
Very safe, clean and well-maintained property just a few blocks from the Convention Center and the Park on D. Also, easy walk to restaurants and subway. Wonderful stay!
The apartment was very clean, well-furnished, up-to-date and in a nice location within walking distance of restaurants. East to get around by foot or by Lyft. Easy ride to the airport, too. We will stay here again when we come back to Boston. The host was very responsive. Thank you!

Nice unit, close to transportation
The apartment was a really nice place to stay. My only complaint was how much more it cost to stay in the unit when the fees were added. You always have fees on top of the listed price, but for some reason the fees here were much more than I have experienced before. They almost doubled the listed price of the unit.

Family trip to Boston
For the price, this was the perfect location for our family of four. South Boston is the new "hip" side of Boston (per our niece who lives outside the city). Lots of young people, great restaurants within walking distance, and only a 15 walk to the Seaport area. Our 17 y.o. twins enjoyed the basketball court when not out sightseeing. Would be great to have an air pump for the basketball as it was fairly flat. Boardwalk Southie (pizza) on the corner, has awesome pizza! Great nearby breakfast spots on Broadway include the Lincoln Tavern and Paramount. Mostly used Uber to get to downtown areas. Parked our rental offsite at our niece's house as there is no parking. Washer/dryer was a great bonus. Could not locate the iron, but there is an ironing board. Would recommend that the host consider a sofa sleeper for the living room for those kids who refuse to share a bed (or to accommodate additional guests). We were able to use some extra comforters/sheets to improvise a sleeping area on the couch. Would also recommend an additional towel rack in the bathroom. Overall a great stay; K-cup coffee was appreciated by all of us. All necessities available. Thank you for also allowing us to check in early! Would stay again.

Thank you very much for the review Kristen! I appreciate that you made suggestions also. I am sorry you couldn't find the iron. It was in the front bedroom closet. I will ask my housekeeper to keep it with the ironing board in the future. I will also look into adding hooks for the towels in the bathroom. I don't have a sleep sofa because I provide everything for four people and do not want higher occupancy than that. Let me know if you would like to rent again as you are a great guest!

Awesome Place
This apartment was a home away from home! Beautiful & welcoming. The space, decor & cleanliness. Everything you would possibly need was available. The backyard was literally the basketball court & playground, which we did not take part of but was happy to watch the neighboring parties. We were walking distance from shops & restaurants. Parking our rental car was a breeze. We met neighbors of the apartment & the owners of the next, great people & conversations which they spoke very highly of the owner of our rental. Our next trip to South Boston we will be sure to book here!

Very nice property and stay
This was as advertised and validated the other excellent reviews. Lower level. Very clean. Large bedrooms. Hot shower with lots of water pressure. Not a fancy neighborhood, but safe. Easy walk to the Broadway metro, with Dunkin on the way. Near a small grocery, Burger King and CVS. Stuffed ourselves at the nearby Fat Baby Asian fusion restaurant.

Boston getaway
Great location! Close to a market and a variety of restaurants. Our 16-year-old son loved being able to run to the beach. Close to the T. We were able to park our car (which did prove challenging) and leave it for our entire stay and then take the train everywhere. Apartment was clean and well appointed with everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!

Awesome place
We stayed here for the weekend and it was perfect. Very clean and the neighborhood is great. Tons of people walking dogs everyday, there is a market a block away to stock up on essentials, and great spots for breakfast/lunch/dinner. T station is 4 blocks away, you can be in downtown in no time.

good accomodations, although a little better upkeep needed. a number of bulbs burned out making it tricky. also the living room light switch was dicey and could be a safety hazard. appeared ready to short out.
