"We were traveling through several states, were very tired when we arrived and pleasantly surprised at how wonderful a place Kendra has! Not only was everything immaculate, but we could tell she chose everything in the house thoughtfully and it was very attractive and uncluttered. We were especially amazed at how tranquil the yard was and could not tell we were so close to I-40. This was literally the only positive Vrbo location we have ever experienced... and this will probably be the only one...

"Within walking distance to town square with shopping and dining options. Property has many small well-thought touches/amenities. Great option for using as a base for exploring Palo Duro Canyon State Park (~15 minute drive away)."

"Great stay. Very relaxing. You don’t have to go straight up the “ramp” as shown in the picture. There is a less steep winding path to the left. The “ramp”did give me a chance to use the locking rear differential on my truck (that I never use) and I got the hang of it. (you have to take a run at it) There is only a Keurig machine. We brought our own coffee with grinder so that was a bummer. We only found the My K-Cup in the drawer when we were about to leave. Lesson learned as it seems so many...

"Needed a place to stay for a night on our cross country journey and this was perfect. Nicely decorated, private. Visited the canyon to the south. Definitely worth it. Well stocked with everything we needed, plus some. Only wish was that we either could have stayed longer or weren’t in such a hurry to move onto our next destination, so we could have enjoyed the outdoor area. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely stay again."

"This was a great place to stay in Amarillo!! The house is lovely, comfortable and clean❤️ The host is very responsive (locked myself out) and quick to return messages during booking and after. Little things like kids toys, games and dog supplies were a plus. We will definitely look at the Red Door Retreat for our next stay!"

"The host was accessible if needed but respectful of our privacy. The property feels secluded. There are deer that eat out of your hand. We had bunnies, a turkey and a fox pass thru on our stay. We always felt safe and loved the atmosphere. The home was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed for a 4 day stay. There are lots of things to do within a 20 minute drive including Palo Duro Canyon, which was our main reason for being there. "

"This home is as adorable in person as the pictures display! The neighborhood is quiet and the property is on a cobblestone street across from a park, truly quaint. The home itself is beautifully decorated and the host has put a lot of thought into making you feel comfortable. A coffee bar, snacks, very nice linens and towels to name a few things that made the home even more enjoyable. Also, Rachel is truly the best host! "We stayed in an old silver airstream caravan and it was great fun. Because of its age you have to expect a few problems but nothing to spoil our enjoyment. The aircon was a bit rubbish so it got a little uncomfortable at times and bed not overly conducive to a good nights sleep as old and badly fitted sheets. It’s a unique experience and the tv park is lovely as are the staff. A free limo takes guests to and from the famous Texas steak ranch. "
