Our property entrance is monitored for your security with ring door bell and security camera in the garden.

After two years of construction we are back and better than ever! We are offering a beautiful spotless, room with a queen bed and a bathroom luxury apartment . The bathroom have granite top counter, heated floors walk in shower. 100 year old refurbished wood floors throughout, centralized air conditioning system, washer and dryer.
**Laundry Detergent is not included.

I do reside on the top floor of the town house but I am renting the bottom floor. Please when sending a request to book specify the amount of people will be in your party.

PARKING is available on our street, please apply online for visitor parking on Washington DC parking website.

It is a block away from a coffee shop, and 28 restaurants, as well as a block away from the Eastern Market blue and orange metro line. 5 blocks from Supreme Court, US Capital, library of Congress. It is steps away from the entire DC area!

NO SMOKING

NO USE OF SHOES INSIDE THE PROPERTY - 100 year old refurbished wood floors are valuable and guest will be responsible for damage.

A disapointment

This place is pretty and clean with pictures of the owner on the wall. Bed was comfy, and shower was nice and attractive. Loved the location close to the Eastern Market.We were too cold there throughout our stay, even though the temperature outside was 70 degrees. We called the owner, who said she was out of town; and she gave suggestions that did not work

Quick Work Trip

Quiet apartment. Prime location in Capital Hill neighborhood. Easy walking distance to Metro, restaurants and some sites. Enise is very friendly and helpful.

Convenient to coffee, food, and Metro to get around DC. Close enough to walk to Mall attractions.Could have used a coffee machine or hot water machine for personal drinks. Front door needs a better seal. Though small, I recommend staying here.

This property was perfect for my needs (attending a conference in town). The only issue I had was with VRBOā€”not the host. Do not use the directions to the property the VRBO offers (directions function in app), but the actual address in a different map app (like Google maps).

The property was pristine and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was beautifully done. In addition, the location was perfect. We were able to walk to various restaurants, the Eastern Market, the Capitol and other buildings of interest to us. All in all we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this unit!

Easy and Quaint Location

If you plan to spend a lot of time eating up all the amazing things there are to do in SC, this location is perfect for that! It is extremely easy to get to the metro and a very safe neighborhood. My spouse and I spent many nights enjoying the night life and never felt uneasy walking back to this place, often after 10PM. Enise is quick to help with any issue, respond to questions on the property and provide recommendations. My only warning would be if you plan to drive into the area! Iā€™d recommend avoiding if possible but if you do, try to figure out the zone parking permit beforehand as it has a few steps. Honestly, if you are okay with it, we found a parking deck just north of the White House that was much cheaper parking if you pay cash! I would hands down stay at this property again and highly recommend!

Nice, quiet location

Enjoyed our stay at this very quiet house. The bathroom was updated, fresh and clean. There was a nice wardrobe to hang up clothes but no luggage rack to set our suitcase upon, not the end of the world but it would be nicer than leaving it on the floor. Only a couple of blocks away from the Metro and bus stations. There are a lot of restaurants and a central market close by. It was a nice, cool place to come back to after a day of exploring D.C. in the heat.

Great Stay In DC

This is an excellent VRBO property; I would give it an A+ rating. Location: This property is in a prime DC neighborhood and is extremely convenient to the Capitol, National Mall, and many other DC landmarks. The Metro is very close, and there are many great restaurants nearby. Safety: This property is in one of the safest areas in DC. I felt safe in the property itself and felt safe on the walks to and from my activities. Cleanliness: This was one of the cleanest properties in which I have ever stayed. It was well cared for and immaculate. Accommodations: The accommodations in the unit were excellent. The refurbished wood floors were beautiful as were the rugs that were in place. The interior decorations were perfect for the unit, very tastefully done. Being a back patient, I'm always hoping for a firm bed that will provide a good night's rest; this was the best Iā€™ve encountered. Suggestions: Traveling to DC is probably best done via air because parking in the DC residential areas is restricted (needing a visitor permit) and it is limited (by zones). Flying into either Reagan or Dulles allows easy access to the Metro / Uber. Long term parking at the airports and then using Uber / Metro may be an alternative, too. Once in the District, there is so much to do that Metro and Uber are going to be far better options than driving. Overall: I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the city and in this property. I would stay here again.

Amazing location!

This was my first time visiting DC and this was the perfect location we could have found. The owner was communicative and helpful with suggestions for how to spend some of our downtime (eastern market breakfast, farmers market, restaurants close to the VRBO). We will be back!

This is an adorable basement apartment in an amazing neighborhood. Very clean & quiet. Photos show a couch/loveseat that is no longer there. No fridge or microwave so make sure you plan for your own food storage. Also be aware there is no TV.

Capitol Walk

Very clean and peaceful location in a lovely neighborhood. Easy walk to the Capitol. Walking around the corner and one block to coffee, breakfast and several local restaurants and businesses. Felt very comfortable and safe there the whole time. Plan to go back.

Very quiet safe neighborhood close to the metro and restaurants, convenient for touring Washington DC The room was not quite as advertised, as there was a small couch pictured when I rented it , and it had been replaced with two very uncomfortable wrought iron chairs, so no where to sit and relax. Also found the bathroom a little moldy.

This property is located just north of Eastern Market in the Capitol Hill Neighborhood. You cannot find a better location as a tourist or someone who has work in the area. The unit is nicely furnished with comfortable bed and great bathroom. Updated and very clean and fresh. Just keep in mind their is no kitchen or kitchenette.

Location, location, location

This lovely property is perfectly situated in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance from the capitol and nat'l mall area as well as many restaurants. Very clean and comfortable and Enise is a lovely hostess. Be aware that the price reflects that there is no kitchen, but coffee shops, restaurants, and a liquor store are all within a 10-minute walk. Parking is very limited.

Great walking distance

I had to be on Capitol Hill for much of my time in Washington DC and so this was in walking distance. The walk was through a very quaint and nice neighborhood and I enjoyed it very much. The springtime is beautiful! So many flowers and landscaping along the way! In my free time I visited the market and little coffee shops and bagel shops in the area. Again, all within walking distance!

Hostel to Hostile

The unit was not ready upon arrival - the owner was there making the bed and cleaning. Guest was "greeted" by owner with rudeness and made to feel extremely uncomfortable. The owner called and, seemingly, watched and stalked the guest regularly. The guest left 5 days early feeling traumatized and demeaned.
