Type of building: terraced house. The Residence Il Giardino di Lory, completed in June 2011, is the ideal place for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday in the beautiful scenery of Lake Como. Located in Vercana, a delightful village two kilometres from the lake, it enjoys a privileged position from which it is possible to admire all the splendour and hidden charm of the lake.
The ground floor also enjoys a large terrace overlooking the garden and swimming pool from which you can enjoy an unparalleled view. The pool is surrounded by the solarium area, complete with deckchairs and sunshades. Adjacent to the flat is the garden and playground for the little ones. An equipped barbeque area and a laundry room are available. Parking is 100 metres from the flat; a private parking space is available, otherwise there is the possibility of using the adjacent public car park. To reach the residence it is necessary to walk along a cobbled pedestrian street, which is not recommended for those with walking problems.
The flat is located on the first floor and is spread over two levels: on the ground floor is the living area consisting of a bright living room with kitchenette; on the same floor is the first of the three bathrooms of the house. The sleeping area is developed exclusively on the upper floor where there are, in addition to two more bathrooms, two spacious bedrooms finely furnished and embellished with characteristic hand-painted pictures. It is possible to accommodate up to a maximum of seven adults, also taking advantage of the comfortable sofa bed in the living room. The flat is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, refrigerator, freezer, microwave oven, American coffee machine, electric juicer, toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board, satellite TV, DVD, free wifi connection.
The residence is located in Vercana, two km from Domaso and the lake. The centre can be reached on foot in five minutes. There are two bars, two super well-stocked mini-markets, a tobacconist's, a restaurant-pizzeria and an agriturismo.
You can decide to spend a pleasant afternoon at the solarium that frames the residence, or, for those who love trekking or mountain biking, there are numerous excursion possibilities that wind through the surrounding mountains, including stops at bivouacs and refuges managed by the CAI. In a few minutes you can reach the neighbouring villages where you can enjoy the beauty of the lake or, for enthusiasts, try your hand at sports such as windsurfing, kitesurfing, water-skiing or sailing. The nearby towns of Domaso and Gravedona, in addition to churches and corners steeped in history and culture, offer numerous restaurants where you can sample traditional dishes, and many shops where you can dive into shopping or simply buy some souvenirs.
