We were there 3 nights. 1st night, physically checked in and paid in full. Btw this is a cheap hotel but the nightly prices were not cheap.. but whatever I get it, there is an event going. We check into our room and it’s what we expect, not great, not bad. (However I still took pictures of all damage when I first got there, which I recommend everyone does for staying/renting anything.)
Anyways, second day/afternoon was where the trouble started. We are in our room relaxing and all the sudden some random strangers unlock our door! They were as surprised and confused as us and said they were given this room, we go upfront and ask what happened. Front desk only sighed and mumbled that she’s done this before!! She said we were marked as a no show? I’m like, we physically checked in and paid? She “reassured” us that no one else would come into our room. Sorry but due to her demeanor about it, we most definitely did NOT feel reassured. Then later we realized our cards got turned off because of the whole no show thing, which confused me as don’t you have to turn them ON in order for them to turn OFF? (As in obviously, we checked in?) Then the main part happened, they said that they “accidentally” fully refunded me because we were marked as no show. My only option was to pay at location, meaning I HAD to check in and pay in order for them to refund anything. The thing is though, they only contacted me AFTER trying to charge my card again after “accidentally” refunding me. Not bef
