We enjoyed our stay so much last year we returned, only to find some upgrades!!! The garage was turned into a summer kitchen\entertainment area, the deck was enlarged and new furniture added. We love the layout that allows everyone their own space when needed. itā€™s central location permits easy access to downtown, nearby towns and events as well as quick access to Port Elginā€™s incredible beach. The owners are quick to answer any texts and contacted us early on our stay to see if we needed anything, inquired about comfort and if we had any requests or recommendations. We couldnā€™t ask for better hosts. Already planning next yearā€™s stay!!!

Despite an unexpected issue with the air conditioning during our stay, we were very impressed with how the owner handled the situation. The heat made the cottage uncomfortable, but the owner was responsive, understanding, and ultimately offered a full refund without hesitationā€”even allowing us to stay if we chose to.Things donā€™t always go perfectly, but how someone responds makes all the difference. We truly appreciated the ownerā€™s professionalism and fairness, and it gave us confidence in booking with them again. Thank you again for your integrity and quick resolution.

House is large , easily accommodates 10 family members. Kitchen is well equipped (fridge, stove, microwave, Keurig coffee maker ā€¦. Etc.). Place does need a good cleaning and new furniture (some of which are falling apart). Shower curtain was an abominationā€¦ needed to be replaced. Large backyard and beautiful patio with gas barbecue. Good location , close to town and beach (walking distance)

We enjoyed our time! All the basic things we needed. Lots of space for guests inside and out. Good location to business and 10 minute walk to the beach. Enough amenities to keep us busy while relaxing or at the beach. Good communication from the host. Cleanliness could be improved.

Great check in process, size of cottage and availability of hosts! Excellent location as we were close to both downtown and the beach. The cottage was clean, bright and had all the amenities one could need. We hope to return next year!

We stayed at this home with a variety of age ranges from baby - adult. This home was very spacious and allowed for everyone to have their own space and were not crowded. The home was very clean and had so many basic amenities which was very helpful! The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. We appreciated the individual AC units in the rooms so everyone could set their own temperatures. Only about a 10 minute walk from the main beach which was very convenient. Large backyard for our family to enjoy the sunshine, BBQ and have a fire. We really enjoyed our time here! :)

Enjoyed the cottage very much! Teenage kids loved being close to town to go for walks and having their independence. Beach was a short drive, loved the sandy entrance for the water, no rocks. Cottage had lots of space, fit 8 comfortably. Loved the outdoor space, spent a lot of time on the deck. Thank you for a wonderful week, we hope to be back next year. Thanks Darlene

We had a wonderful time. The cottage was clean and neighborhood was quiet. Nice to be fairly close to the beach and the downtown. My only complaint was the bbq was disgusting. Who ever was there before our visit left it a mess. But overall was a great week šŸ˜€

Great location, mid point between the main shopping street and beach. House is stocked with everything you could need. Nice back yard and deck. Unfortunately I didnā€™t realize that allowing pets would mean dog hair and smell throughout the house. Also there is a very strong odour of mildew in the front entry and front bedroom. People with allergy sensitivities beware.

We had all the amenities to make us feel at home. Easy walk to the beach and into town as it is situated midway down mill street. We would definitely stay here again.

We were very impress with this cottage. It was extremely clean. There was a large deck and a very large back yard. The interior is very spacious with plenty of room. We could not have asked for more. I would recommend this cottage and will rebook as well.

We stayed in this home last week and loved many aspects. Clean! Excellent Air Cond, Wi-Fi, Netflix, Amazon Prime Large bedrooms and huge upstairs bathroom Well stocked kitchen. Fabulous deck with nice furniture, huge umbrella, new BBQ Perfect for families. Huge fenced yard. Quiet, residential neighborhood (unlike the cottage areas that are nearer the beach) OK, Yes, the downstairs 1/2 bath is small but big enough for most folks. We used it often. Yes, a 10 minute walk to the beach along a tree lined tree; a bit steep so most folks drive. Lots of parking at the beach. One Note: As with all century homes, the stairs are steep; these also take a turn halfway up. Be sure to use the handrail. The price: excellent value in our opinion for a house of this size. Not fancy, but clean, comfortable.

Great location, 10 minute walk to the beach, 5 minutes to down town. Four large bedrooms. Great back yard , lots of room to play games, sit and eat on the deck, camp fire, propane barbecue. . The host was quick to respond. Main floor has lots of space, kitchen , dining room and TV area. Air conditioning was great on hot days. We hope to book again next year.

Advertised as steps from the Beach. It is not but rather requires a drive to beach. Extremely intrusive neighbours as this is not a Cottage but rather a House in a Residential neighborhood. Old Cottage poorly updated. Very musty smelling. Grounds are unkept.Main floor washroom is smaller than a phone booth. For the price this place is a rip off for sure. Owner does not respond to questions posed. Very disappointing stay. Would never return. Terrible rental!

We had a relaxing stay. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and to uptown for restaurants and the farmer's market. The backyard was peaceful and we enjoyed the fire pit and dinner outside in the fenced in yard.

We had a wonderful week on Mill Street! The cottage was clean, bright, well-equipped and beautifully cool during one of the hottest weeks of the summer! Would definitely stay there again the next time we need a place in Port Elgin! Thanks for everything!!
