Nice place but no privacy
This rental was pretty with a lot of amenities included. The host and her family were very nice but gave very little privacy. (Sheer blinds and a few windows with no coverings at all made it easy to see in, property was being landscaped or plants watered every day of our stay). The owner also had two other rentals across the sidewalk which made this stay feel very public. This stay was nice but it was not depicted very well in the listing. A hotel would have felt more private.

Beautiful cottage with amazing views
Quiet, serene with your own beautiful beach and views. Cottage has everything you’ll need with many personal touches. Host goes out of her way to provide a wonderful experience - lots of pride in her home and sharing it. Pictures tell an accurate story!

Cozy and comfortable
This was the perfect place for our family to relax for the week! The cottage is so incredibly comfortable, well appointed and immaculate! It’s close to town which is absolutely adorable and the restaurants are amazing. Dee is such a warm and friendly host and had the best suggestions of where to go. She also leaves a lovely welcome platter of goodies in the fridge upon arrival which was a very sweet touch. We were unfamiliar with the area before this trip and we hope to come back!

Beautiful Cottage
From the start, we could tell this was going to be a real find. The home was easy to book, access and even more beautiful than shown in the pictures. It had everything needed and more…a welcome platter in the fridge, special soaps and shampoo in the bathroom, a complete kitchen, and chocolate treats in little surprise places….all before we even looked up at the most magnificent view and patio on the beach. What a relaxing stay we had in comfy beds, furniture and climate…the ac kept us nice and cool even though it was pretty hot outside. And the owner was so responsive when we called about whether the laundry detergent was ours to use (no replacement needed). It is also only a 5 minute drive to town with fun restaurants, live music on Saturday and an ice cream stand to die for (all with recommendations by the owner). We offered to house trade as we left…wanting to return again and again.

Nice little place - Pictures are outdated.
Overall the trip was fine - house was cute and clean. The view was great. The pictures were outdated and if they would have been more up to date, we wouldn't have stayed there. The rooms didn't really have privacy or A/C - if you slid the doors closed, you were on fire. If you left them open you were giving a peep show. The house was a TJ Max/Home Goods hoarders paradise - too much stuff everywhere with tags. The couch wouldn't stay together, so we kept slipped through it. The internet was out half the time and sorry, but in today's age that's kind of a big deal - we had schedule around our day to meet the cable guy. The house is too expensive per day for some of the issues.

Highly recommend
Overall, very nice. Denise is a super-host, gracious, very responsive, generous, lots of recommendations re restaurants, etc. Refrig was stocked with a great greeting platter. The house is beautifully appointed; great care is evident in the quality of fixtures and furnishings. Landscaping well maintained. House is right on the water, great for a dip, a float, or using the kayaks provided. Separate small lawn/garden areas in front and back are charming and space for relaxation/reading. Quiet, even though houses very close in on each side, and in a residential neighborhood. Perfect for two; if four, better it’s family or close friends (1 bthrm, and as of this writing, the two bedrooms are open alcoves, though we understand doors/enclosures are coming). Recommend.

Loved!
This property is located directly on the water and you can't beat the views or sounds of waves right at your backyard. Not to mention all the sea treasures on it's beach. The owner did a fantastic job with the decor and it was so comfy and cozy. We will definitely be back again. It was perfect for the two of us and we loved it!

Fantastic location
Great location. We enjoyed our stay and Bristol is beautiful. Only area of improvement will be the outdoor entry/garden area had a wet unpleasant odor. We hope to return soon

A little slice of heaven
Just 3 hrs or so from Manhattan, it’s a little slice of heaven. The cottage is beautiful, calm, almost magical. Very well equipped kitchen. The host was amazingly helpful. We went there for a long weekend to unwind and it was perfect! The quaint small town feel of Bristol was charming and the people were warm and welcoming. The old houses on hope street and the cafes and taverns provided ample opportunities to walk around and explore. A quick 30 min ferry to Newport made for a perfect day trip and an easy 30 min cab ride to Providence made for smooth travel in and out via Amtrak. The pictures don’t do justice as the place is even more amazing in real. The calm water and nice breeze with sail boats out in the sea make for a picture perfect setting. The water on the private beach was so calm and clear that we literally put chairs and sat in the water and had beers. The people in the town are friendly and dinner and dancing at The Lobster Pot is a must do! Getting Uber/Lyft on weekdays can be hard, but the host put us in touch with a local couple who were willing to drive us around. We highly recommend the place and will surely be coming back soon!

Little Gem
Perfect for weekend trips close to the mansions and not really a far drive from Boston and Salem! We really enjoyed our stay at this adorable cottage!

Hi Mary! Thanks for staying at our cozy seaside cottage and we hope that we met with your expectations! Its such a quaint getaway especially as I am sitting here right now on my birthday looking out at the gentle falling snow over the sea. Its so quiet that even the gulls are barely making a sound. They are just watching the gentle quiet flakes blanket the beach! Im sitting in front of the fireplace staying warm drinking coco and wondering if it gets any better than this! Great weekend on the bay!

Dee is amazing and very easy to work with. She is very quick to respond to texts and emails. The cottage is beautiful with spectacular views. The fruit tray and snacks were so thoughtful. The beds were ver comfortable and we slept well. This property exceeded my expectations!!

Pretty Home, Great Location!
This home is perfectly set between Newport and Providence which were two of our stops this vacation. I didn't realize Bristol is such a great town as well. It has a pretty harbor, good restaurants/coffee shops and is perfect for a quiet walk. The home is well equipped and is outfitted with attractive furniture and accommodations. Great for a small family .

Wonderful Experience
We had a fabulous stay at this beautiful beach cottage. Everything was exactly as described and better! The platter of delicious snacks, fruit and pastries was such a wonderful surprise after a long day of traveling. Vacationing with 3 preteens has its challenges, but even they were in love with this home (definitely helped having terrific wifi). After sightseeing during the day, it was wonderful to come "home" and relax on the porch or patio. We had originally thought about staying on Cape Cod, but when this home popped up during our search we knew this was so much better. Rhode Island is absolutely beautiful and lacks the crowds and traffic. We hope to return and stay in this beautiful home again. Our stay was absolutely perfect.

Sweet cottage on The Beach
We absolutely adored Dees cottage. The welcome platter was gorgeous as was the location and furnishings. I highly recommend this cottage And give it a five star. But!!!! I did not appreciate having to remake two beds upon our exit on my vacation after all we did pay $100 cleaning fee.

The owner is so kind and made us feel very welcome. The views are amazing and so close to the little town. We did have to drive everywhere, but still loved the location. I would highly recommend a stay.

Great location
We had a wonderful time at the cottage. It was relaxing each night sitting on the patio right at the edge of the bay. There were some great restaurants close by and still not a long drive to Newport and other areas. The owner supplied us with a welcome gift of some food and snacks which was great. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Overall this was a great trip to Rhode Island!

Shabby chic delight
Darling little rental that can sometimes feel a bit tight. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of towels available. I would recommend this for a couple or two friends looking to have a weekend away. More than that will feel cramped.

Serene Cottage by the Sea
Bristol Sails was equal parts tranquil and charming! It was clean and airy with all the expected allure of a small town in New England on the shoreline. We chose to stay in Bristol because RWU Law is my alma mater, but will return to Bristol Sails because it felt like a home away from home. Also, the Owners were hospitable and readily accessible which came in handy when we inadvertently looked ourselves out after star gazing on the beach!

Amazing location .. and beautiful view from the cottage overlooking the bay.. a little smaller than expected and too many furnitures which makes the space even smaller.. and found it a lil strange that we were supposed to replace all linens with new ones before leaving even after paying cleaning charges...

Staying at this cottage made our daughter's graduation weekend even more special: beautiful setting, immaculately clean, well accessorized, the fruit & cheese platter was wonderful, great views of the sunrise and the water; sole draw back to many "throw pillows"; we would reserve this cottage again and would recommend the cottage to our friends and family :)

Great vacation cottage with outstanding views !
The cottage was not only accommodating, but more than we could’ve expected with beautiful decorations and easy access to the beach. Denise has provided high quality linens and a well-equipped kitchen to make sure nothing is lacking for a restful stay. She left us a large welcome tray of cheeses, meats, fruit, and chips to make sure we had snacks to accommodate our first night there. We could not have asked for a better vacation experience! And to top it all off the town was extremely beautiful!!

Beautifully Decorated, Cozy Cottage
We had a wonderful 3 day stay at Bristol Sails Cottage by the sea. Dee and Lorenzo could not have been better hosts. Dee does everything she can to make your stay pleasant, from the wonderful welcoming food platter to turning on ESPN on Cox Cable so my Husband could watch football and baseball. Sitting on the porch watching sea birds perch on the rocks was magical. The cottage is so quiet and peaceful, the only thing you hear is water lapping at the shore. The beds are extremely comfortable, and to be able to open the many windows and enjoy the sea breeze was heaven. We could not have had a better or more relaxing stay! Thank you so very Dee. We loved your property, and so enjoyed meeting you and Lorenzo!

Cozy and peaceful
The cozy cottage was perfect for the two of us. We wish the beach wasn't so rocky, but it is a river, and having the kayaks was an unexpected pleasure. A very peaceful location, quiet neighborhood and a lovely town. The owner couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant.

Absolutely adorable
The Beach Cottage is just that-an adorable, beautifully dressed old fashioned cottage. We had coffee on the Bay watching the sun rise every morning and have probably never been as relaxed as we were the week we had there. The grounds and home are impeccably maintained, and everyone affiliated with The Beach Cottage couldn't do enough for us-thank you Dave, Sherry and Dee! We hope to be back!

General impression is 800 square feet of white with 500 pillows.
Great bowers and flower banks, porch with full wall of windows facing the water, beautiful seaside terrace, and high quality linens and beds. Generous welcome treats and well conceived written advice from the hostess.
