Despite great effort to modernize property, electronics do not work well here. Bathroom too small. Lots of noise from adjoining rooms. Desk check -in was very fast , incomplete. Underground parking is really bad. Rooms need microwave ovens. Not sure front desk knew or cared about customers. Seemed like no interest or appreciation of customer. Check out was drop key in basket, no receipt or even offer of receipt. Monterey seems a huge fail in customer service, not returning soon, if at all. Expedia interaction was really poor abd i will AVOID, using Expedia and their associates as much as possible. This not just a series of point and click transactions...really atrocious for people with disabilities.
