Staff was friendly and readily available… pools were amazing but sadly pool bars and restaurants close at 5:30pm The day we arrived we complained that our shower was cold and finally on day 3 it was fixed (only for that day) then back to cold again, we complained but it was never fixed

We've stayed at The Ridge many times, and the overall property is beautiful. Unfortunately it seems like they're slipping on maintaning the rooms. The drawers didn't close properly, knobs fell off cabinets repeatedly, remote for the tv didn't work, the shower pressure was pitiful, there was a thick layer of dust in one area of the living room, no extra blankets. Even though we booked a "presidential suite" we were placed in a low elevation unit with views straight into that back of neighboring businesses (and the marina over the top). It was loud late at night with music, and early in the morning with street noise. Even the general grounds seemed to be lacking a bit of care. The good: The spa was amazing. Don't miss the Temezcal Ritual experience! The pool and surrounding views are like no other.

We stayed at The Ridge at Playa Grande. Picturesque and exquisitely beautiful. The spa is pricey, however top notch. Staff was very respectable, approachable and responsive. Housekeeping especially - impeccable and on point the entire trip (we stayed 6 days, all inclusive package). Absolutely worth the price - the Ridge is more of a retreat as it is very peaceful and quiet. However the main resort of Playa Grande has activities everyday for a great change of pace/those travelers who also enjoy festive stays.

Love the location and how The Ridge is built. The biggest issue we had surrounded the water. For the first two days the water was BROWN. One to two inches in the sink and you could not see the bottom. It looked BROWN coming out of the shower. You could feel it. It was also very cold. At the beginning of our stay and the end, water temp was 89 degrees (at the peak). Often it was way less than that. Previous trips to this same location did not have either of these issues. Water might have hit the high 90's in the middle. We were told to let the water run for 20 minutes or more before taking a shower or bath (by those that serviced our room). Well, I don't often have 20 extra minutes to wait when I need to go somewhere...having returned from sweating for a few hours.

Hotel was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Jorge and Jose. They made sure we had everything we needed at the pool. Monday Mexican Fiesta party was very entertaining. We definitely go back. We were to stay 3 nighrs at msin hotel and 2 at the Ridge. They upgraded us to the Ridge all week to avoid not having to change rooms. Stay was great!

Amazing 75th birthday celebration!
It was my wife’s 75th birthday and we needed a place large enough that her two grown sons and daughter-in-law could celebrate with us during the day. The Ridge was PERFECT! The suite was furnished to accommodate 5, which was perfect for hanging out as a group and it had a large balcony with a magnificent view of the Cabo marina and San Lucas Bay. The head concierge arranged for in-suite birthday decorations prior to our arrival and my wife was treated like a queen during our entire stay, including a complimentary mimosa during her visit to the spa. The food was excellent and the portions generous, both from room service and at the beautiful Calima restaurant, where we had our birthday night family dinner. Even in these crazy days of COVID, we felt very safe at all times, even in public spaces. The Ridge at Playa Grande gets a 10 out of 10 score in every possible category - one of my best resort stays ever.

I am reviewing this hotel because I think I’d like to know more honest reviews when booking. I think i paid abojt $250 per night for the regular hotel price. This included NOTHING- no WiFi, no gym, no meals. I knew this wouldn’t include those things but I did expect more than just a hotel. I expected nice restaurants and good service. This just wasn’t the case! The service was lousy about 75% of the time. I will say we had the best luck at the hotel lobby restaurant but the pool service, the bartenders, the gym (Luis acted so annoyed to be talked to), just didn’t meet my expectations for a resort. It was more like a motel. You get a room, but the rest is up to you. At the pool one day we were invited to a fiesta night and it was really good (don’t get me wrong, it was $48 per person). I wish I knew more of these things existed. Maybe they didn’t who knows. But basically it was a fancy motel. Even service wasn’t very great. Once day we burned something in our kitchen and the smoke detector went off. No one came or anything. We put the burnt out outside and then aired out the room by opening the door. Very oddly, 2 days later someone called and asked if everything was ok because the door was open. So we stayed in a smoke smelling room because they never cleaned it up and the circulation is so bad (I think the vent doesn’t go to the outside just recirculates the room). Also- it was 58 degrees at night and there is no heat in the rooms- only AC- so we were FREEZING at night!!

Los terapeutas del spa están muy bien preparados, felicidades!!! Los accesos a los cuartos son malos... hay mucha distancia entre los cuartos y el hotel...

The Ridge at Playa Grande is amazing. Really nice and gracious staff, always willing to help and the property is beautiful. Gorgeous and within walking distance to the Marina.
