We chose this location because of its proximity to the legacy trail so we could ride our bikes for a couple of days. Being close to West 6th was also nice! The house was very nice. Clean. Well appointed. The updates to the house were nice. It was a very hot weekend but the AC kept up, no problem. The neighborhood isn't great (more so the apartments around the block) and there are homeless at the beginning of the legacy trail but to be honest, we had no issues with either. We even went to the park to watch fireworks. All in all, we have a great weekend and if we decide to do that again, this will be where we stay. Thanks!

The cottage was adorable. Little problem with ants, but the biggest problem was that the air conditioner was not working and couldn't be fixed during our stay. We received a refund for our trouble. Very kind of the owners.

Our stay was cancelled by property manager hours before we were to check in. I received check in instructions on our way to our stay. Shortly after I received notification that our reservation was cancelled because air conditioning was not working. We were already several hours away from home and on a Father's Day riverboat cruise when I received the chance message. I spent the cruise trying to negotiate a stay w the manager and VRBO. No other accommodations available for my family group. Waisted money on the cruise and ended up staying in costly hotel rooms away from the neighborhood we wanted to be in. Took several communications to get refunded. Ended up being a hassle. Regret making reservation w this owner!!!

A very comfortable place to stay. It was very nice for the two of us to stay in Lexington. Need a mirror in the smaller bedroom. No soap in shower in small bathroom. Overall we were very pleased and very comfortable.

My husband, myself and our married friends had a wonderful time in this home!! From the moment we walked in the door the four of us were happy and immediately observed it to be VERY clean and cozily appointed!! There was more than enough room for the four of us adults to be very comfortable. The kitchen is perfectly organized, complete with every comfort of home! Everything youā€™d have in your own kitchen! The bedrooms are very nice and the beds are sooo comfy!! There are two full baths, one is in one of the bedrooms while the other in the hallway next to the other bedroom. Just PERFECT for us 4!! When this listing said they were steps away from ā€œWest 6th Breweryā€ they were serious, it really is. We found that to be a lot of fun!! The homesā€™ location is absolutely perfect for easily getting anywhere in Lexington so itā€™s easy to see why they tag it ā€œLocation, location, location!ā€We are from Clarksville, IN and our friends are from Louisville, KY. We were looking for a quick but nice little getaway and this home and its location provided us with every bit of what we were looking for! THANK YOU for our wonderful mini vacay!! We will be returning when warmer weather FINALLY arrives! Keep up the great work, we ALL loved your home and our stay!! Take care, Karen & Mike, and our friends:)

Our host gave quick responses to all my inquiries. The house is wonderful 2 bedroom and spacious for the 4 of us in our party. The property matches the description well. The house is older, hence the bedrooms and living spaces are spacious but the 2 bathrooms are small. Adequate but small. But thatā€™s how they built them back then. The house is well stocked. We got macarons cookies on entry. Just really nice. Thereā€™s some good places to eat within a block as well. Very centrally located. Easy to get to everywhere we wanted to see in Lexington.

I waited two weeks to write this review, trying to give propert management company every chance to make this right. They didn't, so here is what future renters need to know. Note, I have used VRBOS for over 10 years, this is my first bad review. The house is in an unsafe neighborhood, booming music from drivebys all night (and the primary bedroom faces the street). There are ants - when I contacted management I got an "auto response" that they would address it immediately. They did not follow up, and the next day when I called they said "we've never had ants" (so I sent a video of ants crawling on the countertop). Both my friend and I had malware on our PC (mine) or phone (hers)..."Click immediately, your computer has been compromised, call right away to unblock!!!". This freaked me out, so I called; property manager told me they checked and there was no malware yet they "want to make this right" and offered that if I wanted to leave, they would refund me all but one night back. I hadn't even asked for this but jumped at the chance. I had her text this to me so I'd have it in writing. I asked how long the refund (over $600) would take. She said 3 days. It has been two weeks. They have stopped responding to my texts (I check my card statement every day) so I gave up and filed a dispute with my credit card company.

House was great! One issue with clogged drain was taken care of right away. Great communication. My only issue was the location. Kind of a sketch neighborhood even though description says ā€œLocation location locationā€. But we did really appreciate that there wasnā€™t a ridiculous host fee charged like a lot of others we were looking at.

Lovely property close to the historic center of Lexington. We could do the Lincoln Lexington walking tour right from our front door and there are restaurants and bars within walking distance. Easy drive to Keeneland racetrack and local horse farms. The property is tastefully decorated with a very well equipped kitchen, off-road covered parking and small outdoor area. We loved it.
