Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center

Greatly disappointed in our stay. I will start with a positive.. the woman at the front desk was very welcoming when we checked in. Once we got to our room is when it got negative. There is a main building and another building right next door. I am wondering if our experience would have been different had we been in the main building. However, not sure how you swing that one as it wasn't clear online (I didn't even know there were two buildings until being placed in #2) Anyway, the room was very underwhelming. The bathroom was the worst part. The bathtub dripped and could not be stopped, there were hairs in the tub and on the toilet seat, and worst of all the walls were lined with mildew. In addition to this the room doors all slammed which kept us up at night. The most disappointing part of this all is we stayed in November, which is very much the off season in the Adirondacks. The room was incredibly overpriced and we had no view. I'm all about supporting local but next time I would stay at a chain hotel to guarantee a clean, good quality stay. There's plenty of them around!

Had a wonderful weekend at Fort William Henry. The woman at the front desk was friendly and accommodating. Our room was just as described, we stayed in the Grand Lake View Room with a King bed. The view was great. We had breakfast at the White Lion and again we had a beautiful view of the lake and the breakfast was delicious. We even checked out the Tankard Tavern for a late night drink. A great time was had by all.
