Spacious, Renovated Historic Home

This 2200 square foot home was built in 1914 and has been thoughtfully renovated into a spacious, modern home. Enjoy an open floor plan with unique historic touches, like the original wrap-around porch ceiling that rims the living room and kitchen. Original art, spacious rooms and oversized windows offer views of the Gastineau Channel, downtown Juneau, and Mt. Roberts.

The Fleek House, named for the original owner/builder, offers 3 bedrooms each with one bed that can accommodate one or two adults for a total of up to 6 people. The home also has an upstairs bonus room that is open to the hallway only separated by a curtain with a full size bed.

Please note that the Fleek House has a basement studio apartment that is rented year-round. The entrance to the basement unit is completely separate from the entrance to the Home and that unit's parking is in front of the home.

A hand built entertainment center houses a large TV and wifi router in the living room. Comfy furniture and warm throws invite you to snuggle in and enjoy the view, or catch a Netflix show on TV. (Apple TV is available with a complimentary Fleek House Netflix account.)

The kitchen offers granite counters, custom maple cabinets and an eat-in bar with seating for four. The appliances are stainless steel and include a range, oven, a dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator/freezer. Gather meal inspiration from the cookbook collection and prepare an Alaskan meal fit for kings and queens.

The Fleek House has a full laundry/mud room with high efficiency washer and dryer on the main floor.

Relax and unwind in the oversized master suite on the main floor. A spacious bathroom features a walk-in tiled shower, double vanities, a separate commode room and a walk-in closet.

Climb the stairs to discover 2 bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed and one with a full sized bed. There is also a bonus room. A full bathroom with a tub/shower is available upstairs.

There is a barn door to stairs leading down to a landing and a locked door to the basement studio apartment that is rented and has it's own entrance and driveway on the front of the home.

The Fleek House is located in a quiet residential neighborhood in the small town of Douglas. You can walk from the house to a really great dining and cocktail experience at the Island Pub which is only 3 blocks away. Or enjoy one of the many award-winning Alaskan Brewery beers at Louie's Douglas Inn Bar, also only 3 blocks away. If you are a walker, this home offers several easy walking loops from .25 mile to over 3 miles in length. In fact, historic downtown Juneau is only three miles away if you really want to stretch your legs!

There are two off-street parking spaces in the driveway off of E Street for the Fleek House. The parking spot on the front of the house facing 5th Street is for the basement apartment.

We are not able to offer in-home smoking options. For those able to smoke outside and properly dispose of cigarette butts, this home might still offer a lovely accommodation.

Beautiful home! Had a drip coffee maker and a Nespresso machine. Brand new BBQ. The 4th bonus room was perfect for our boys, and the property owners added an extra bed for us to make sure the space worked for us. Good selection of games in the upstairs closet, and we liked the regional artwork. Also loved the location.

It's hard to know where to start. The location of this property on Douglas Island is wonderful. You're within walking distance of 3 restaurants and Sandy Beach. The view of the channel from the living room is world class! I could sit there all day and watch the ships, and planes come and go. And the layout of the house is amazing and wide open. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect place for a group or family to stay while in Juneau. The house is beautiful yet cozy with a spacious, well appointed kitchen , dining area, living room. We had 7 adults in out group and never felt crowded. Itā€™s location is a short drive away from downtown Juneau and within walking distance to restaurants, park/beach on Douglas Island. The view is fantastic ! Besides the natural beauty you have a front row view of the cruise ships coming and going. Owners are very easy to work with and accessible. Sydney even graciously helped me retrieve some jewelry I accidentally left behind. Just an over all great place to stay.

We came from Alabama and had Christmas with our son and his family who live in Juneau. It was a great home for all of us to stay together. Their house is not big enough for us all. The home is comfortable and roomy with 3 nice bedrooms. Our stay was wonderful and we enjoyed our family very much. Sydney and Alan we super host!

This was by far the nicest vacation home we have rented so far. We loved the historic charm of the house. Everything was SOOO clean (I was nervous to dry my face at night for fear of getting makeup on the brand new looking white towels). Sydney & Alan keep their house the way I like to keep my own. The house was also very well stocked with kitchen dishes, utensils, pots and pans. The view outside the front windows was beautiful. Great location to get to everything you could want to do in the Junea area. We would defiantly stay again! Thank you for trusting us with your beautiful home.

We knew nothing about where to stay in Juneau, Alaska. The VRBO listing for the Fleek House looked perfect for our friends trip. We still had no idea where it was in relation to Juneau. It is located in the most perfect place- atop a hill overlooking Gastineau Channel. It proved a gorgeous picture window view of the channel, GIANT cruise ships, seaplanes, helicopters, eagles, and other wildlife. Douglas Island is just minutes over to Juneau via a bridge. Take advantage of all Juneau has to offer. You wonā€™t be disappointed. And the Fleek House with all of its history and amenities will be a perfect base camp to explore.

We couldnā€™t have been happier with this well equipped home. It was so well stocked for evening dinners with a view. It was great to stay just outside of Juneau. We had great access to all Juneau has to offer. We joked that the only thing lacking from the home is copper mugs for Mules. Haha! It had everything we needed and more! We had two evening fires down at Sandy Beach to cap off our days of adventures.

Weā€™ve stayed here before and always try to book Fleek House whenever we come for family get togethers. Quiet and convenient and sooo beautiful! A comfy home with an awesome view of ships coming into port. Working for the cruise lines I am in Juneau every year and decided to stay on Douglas away from the hustle of downtown. The home was perfect! plenty of room for entertaining and well stocked with games and kitchen supplies. I felt at home! its also cool that the home is historical and the history is available to read. The host were available when needed for questions or suggestions. Within walking distance of a great restaurant and local pubs. I also use the local bus transit which was easy to take me into town. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The living area was spacious to work and relax. I will be booking again my next visit to Juneau! Thank you for a great stay!

We came into town for the Ironman race and the property was very clean, very nice, and very well maintained. Had. A little trouble figuring out the heat/ac, but we had the windows open most of the time anyways. Great property!

First trip to Juneau and we were not sure what to expect! The house is so much cuter than pics and descriptionā€¦so comfortable, clean and literally had everything we could possibly need. Beds are super cozy and the hosts are very accommodating. The location was perfect! We enjoyed having a glass of wine and watching the cruise ships come and go. Top notch and highly recommend!

We rented this house because of itā€™s location. Having lived in Douglas, we knew that it was located close to all the things we wanted to do. We also wanted a place sufficient to house ourselves and our adult children. Plus the ability to cook and entertain our many friends. It did not disappoint. The house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. As a vacation rental owner ourselves, We really enjoyed the extra touches and will incorporate them into listing.

Host is super friendly and communicates promptly through app. Easy check in, beautiful interior and perfect for a small group. Be fore warned the little road leading up to the house is steep, but the drive levels out (hey, welcome to Juneau!). Kitchen and everything is modern, appliances available, bedrooms are nice and plenty of seating for whatever your preference. This is the place to choose for your Juneau vacation- I definitely recommend.

We were visiting Juneau for our daughterā€™s wedding. We had one rental car and guests with a variety of interests & physical abilities. The location of the Fleck house was perfect, close enough to down town if we needed to shuttle and the bus runs down 3 rd street every half hour, so our guests could travel independently if they wanted to. The teenager in our group even bicycled around. There are also some good eating options ( Island Pub was our favorite) and beautiful walks near by. Everyoneā€™s bed was comfortable. The large kitchen and various seating options worked perfectly for our large group. Thank- you Sydney and Allen for making your beautiful home available.

Perfect location for me as a former resident, the Fleek House reflects the funky cool of the Juneau community. Nestled in the foothills of Mt. Jumbo on Douglas Island, a multitude of trails and fabulous views are found nearby AND from the windows of Fleek House! We had an amazing time at the Fleek house!! Itā€™s a wonderful property and was a home away from home. Itā€™s in a great central location, and was very easy to navigate to and from. The property is so comfortable and we loved the furnishings. Highly recommend staying here!!
