Fabulosa FamĆ­lia Georgiana Townhouse

This fine Georgian upper townhouse makes a perfect base for exploring Edinburgh. It has every comfort to be your home-from-home.

Please note: 5 night minimum stay during August, half-term and New Year.

Our townhouse has 6 bedrooms and bathrooms:

Our Townhouse is located in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town. Everything is walking distance and we have great transit links being a two minute walk from Princes Street (where almost all the city's buses stop).

Please note the property is up three flights of stairs, so is not wheelchair accessible.

We have a 5 night minimum stay policy during Christmas, New Year and during the festival in August.

Dogs are welcome by prior agreement. There is a charge of Ā£10/night per dog, payable on arrival.

We loved the beautiful home. It was decorated with lovely antiques. All the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed and we were happy to use it. Agnes met us and allowed us to check in a few hours early because our flight was before the normal check in time. She gave us advice that was very helpful. We were surprised at the perfect location a short walk from the royal mile, near restaurant options. We didn't need a car for the first two days, but rented one for the third day when we drove out of town. Parking overnight was easier than we thought. There were several parking places in front of the house on the street. After 8:30 a.m. parking is very expensive so we left at that time. There was only one problem with the listing. It said that there were five king beds with ensuite bathrooms. In fact, there are three king beds, one queen bed, and two double beds. All the rooms are beautiful with ensuite bathrooms which we loved! We all were delighted with the house and with our experience in Edinburgh.

This apartment was the perfect base for our 5-day stay in Edinburgh. We were four couples and two children and everyone had their own space. Location is central in New Town with shops, restaurants, attractions and public transportation in walking distance, but just far enough off the beaten path for limited traffic. Although we were prepared with the beautiful pictures in the listing, we were wowed upon arrival! The amenities made for a comfortable and easy stay, even when the rain kept us indoors. Communication was prompt and professional, and the tour and instructions at check-in were clear and helpful. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Great property, but we didnā€™t anticipate as many stairs with all of our luggage and golf clubs. Whew! The property was clean and has great staples for cooking (the pantry is in the entry hallway-discovered it on the last day.) The beds were comfortable with the exception of the bed at the top floor which is supported with books. It was great to have bathrooms for every bedroom. The owners left us a beautiful fruit basket and a nice bottle of red wine! This house really worked for our family stay.

Just as beautiful and comfortable as it looks. We were a family group of 13 people ranging in age from 7 to 75 and everyone loved it. Perfect for a family reunion. On arrival we were greeted with a wonderful fruit basket and snacks. Communicate with the host was clear and easy. Plenty of restaurants close by. We would definitely do this again. One note - there are a lot of stairs to reach this home.

While on vacation, we enjoy staying in houses in order to enjoy more family time. This certainly filled the bill and did not disappoint. The house truly feels like a home. Beautifully and uniquely decorated. Comfy beddings. Communications with the owner were excellent and timely. Location ideal for visiting The Royal Mile, very close to restaurants and shops. All in all, a fabulous place to stay, if I could score higher than a 5, I would.

This is our second time staying at this property and this time we had more people with us. All the rooms are beautifully decorated and everything is so comfortable and perfect. We canā€™t imagine staying anywhere else in Edinburgh. Agnes and Frederika are an absolute pleasure to work with and weā€™re looking forward to our next trip back!

Seven girlfriends from Canada set out on a Scottish holiday. We had a few days in Skye and arrived at this property late afternoon and were stunned at the location first and foremost. Once inside, it was even better than we expected. Every room decorated and furnished so nicely. We all agreed we had the most comfortable sleeps! Seven bathrooms was also a luxury when staying with a large group. We would love to return and couldnā€™t imagine staying in a different apartment. Thank you!

This townhouse is absolutely beautiful and incredibly well equipped! It is also located in a prime location, in walking diatance of Edinburgh's many sites and attractions. There were 12 adults staying, and the house had plenty of room and six beautiful bedrooms! Highly recommend!

This was a wonderful property for our home base in Edinburgh for our daughter's wedding. It provided all of the comforts of home and allowed us a relaxing place to prepare for the big day. The home is spotlessly clean, well maintained and absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed everything about the stay.

Very pleased with the house, position and welcome. Prompt fix of WiFi after we arrived. No other problems with facilities. As far as I remember there was no mention of the flights of stairs to the house online. This was the only problem especially with our luggage up and down. Thai restaurant below can be recommended.

We had a family group of 9 and this was the perfect place. Agnes was very accommodating when the first to arrive had a flight delay. The property was comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was wonderful with a short walk to Rose and Princes Streets with the airport/Newhaven tram just on Princes St. There are 5 flights of stairs to get up to the flat, then 2 flights within. I needed to contact Agnes with a couple of questions and she was very quick to respond. We were there to bring my moms ashes back to Edinburgh per her wishes and it worked out perfectly. I would definitely recommend this property for a group.

What a fantastic place to stay! This house is stunning - right in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town. It was perfect for our extended family of nine. Beautifully appointed with high end finishes and wonderful touches. Plenty of room for everyone and a spacious family living space for gathering (aka cocktail hour). We loved the Nespresso coffee maker and coffee. The host truly made our stay exceptional with easy check-in and check-out instructions and outstanding communication before and during our stay. The property is within walking distance of everything you will want to do and see in the city. If you stay here, you will not be disappointed.

Everything was great. Communication with the owners was easy. They provided a lot of suggestions regarding the surrounding area. Checking in was easy. The house was spotless and exactly as portrayed in the photos. If you have a decent sized group (we were a family of 9) and want to be close to everything in Edinburgh, look no further. This is the place.

Agnesā€™ property is perfectly located in New Town and all six of the people in our party had a fantastic stay. The living room was cozy and inviting, the beds were all comfortable and it was so nice that each of us had our own bathroom. We canā€™t wait to come back and stay here again in the future!

Our family of 10 met in EDI for my daughterā€™s wedding. 6 from the US, 2 from Germany and 2 from Sweden. We all were immediately impressed with the architecture, furnishing, fabulously comfortable beds and elegance of this flat. The flat is well stocked with everything you need and those extra luxurious touches that make you feel appreciated and well cared for when away from home. The flat is very spacious and we were able to host brunch for 20 the day after the wedding. There are so many positive things to say about this flatā€¦just book it and you will agree!

Absolutely beautiful property in an amazing location! Super helpful and accommodating owners who were easy to communicate with. It truly was a "home", with all the extra touches. Wonderful dishes, everything you need to cook with, a well-stocked kitchen with all the basics and more. And books galore, which we loved! We used all the fireplaces and the piano (which could use some tuning, however). It was lovely!

We were looking for a property for our first family get together in over 12 months. This property did not disappoint. It gave us the opportunity to spend time together, to have immediate access to the wonderful city of Edinburgh and to revel in the beauty and luxuriousness of the apartment. It was a real treat.
