This definitely isn’t a new property and has changed hands a few times as evident by previous chain names appearing in places within the property. However, all public spaces including the lobby, breakfast area, and pool are well-maintained and clean, as well as our room. There are a few amenities that are located in the building but are not available (whirlpool, sauna, guest laundry) but I don’t believe they are advertised, so no loss there. We were told upon check-in that there wouldn’t be housekeeping during our stay because of a staff shortage but they make it clear we could ask for anything we needed at the desk. I did end up stopping at the desk with a couple questions/requests and they were very helpful and polite. My family was in town for a short weekend stay to see the sights of Duluth and this motel made it easy to get to and from where we wanted to be with quick access to the freeway at a reasonable price (for a clean motel with a pool). As a bonus, we had a room with patio door access to outside, overlooking the city. A side-note feature I liked was the beds sitting on box frames so you don’t have to worry about losing items under the bed. The mattresses are quite firm. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

The walls of this hotel are paper thin and the building is saying so doors are not flush which means sounds travel through the walls very easily. Do not stay here unless necessary.

The parking is a bit confusing but they were super accommodating even trying to give me a comfortable room on the main floor as i was staying after a procedure they let us check in early so we didn’t have to check in after my procedure amazing place

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The pool area was much nicer than I expected! I believe the pool was heated, or I was just so excited to swim in February that I didn’t care- either way loved the pool. Rooms were spacious and quiet. I really enjoyed my stay here

The property was extremely dated, however, was under construction. The construction area wasn’t segmented from available rooms i.e.; construction materials lying in the hallway, open doors approximately 10, not shielded off from the tenants. The fitness room and hot tub were also under construction. None of which was advertised upon booking the room. The steps leading into the building had settled and had a dangerous down slope to them, as well as the parking lot being on a hill. When I asked the Hostess about a possible discount, as the construction was not advertised, she said they had already discounted property. A search of surrounding hotels revealed approximately 10 at a price lower than I paid at this hotel. With the condition of the hotel and the laissez-faire attitude of staff and general uncleanliness, I would definitely not recommend this hotel.

Noise from the hallways and anything upstairs would shake through the building, was fairly loud until about 10-10:30 pm and started right back up around 6-6:30, I realize that it was under a construction remodel in which they were very upfront about but this was a Saturday evening stay through Sunday morning, no construction going on just constantly loud traffic up and down the hallways. Other than that it was fine.

Property needs fixing, hot tub was not working and when we were loading the car to leave we went back to finish getting stuff out of the room as we did not check out yet and staff was already in there trying to clean but we still had property in here and had not checked out yet.

Our room was very clean. The beds were comfortable. Some things are a bit outdated but they are remodeling. The staff was very friendly. The continental breakfast was good. They have three waffle makers and other breakfast items. We could hear noise from the room above us. For the price, I'd definitely stay here again, but I'd request a top floor room.

It's good value, comfortable and close to the ski area. The free breakfast is a great touch. I did not try the pool or sauna so I cannot comment on those, but they could offer some wonderful after-ski relaxation. You must able to haul your luggage up and down stairs.

Decent Stay
Been here in the past, it has always been a decent place to stay at, especially if you are just there to sleep. They are currently undergoing some renovations, but it wasnt a bother for us. Wish there would have been a fridge/microwave in the room but wasnt a deal breaker for us. But overall, our stay was nice. staff was friendly and didnt have any issues.

Door to room was in need of rehanging as there was a wide gap at the top that allowed noise from hall into the room. Understand the door will be fixed when they complete the current room remodeling. Unfortunately the sauna and hot tub were out of order, for that was something we look forward to after skiing. Soak in the bath tub had to suffice.

There plumbing was backed up and both my fience got severely sick ,we didn't get moved out of the room instead they kept us there to the point of we ended up checking out and never got refunded our money the card company told us there's no money put back in the account . So we called the hotel the lady in the afternoon we spoke to was very rude and hung up on us . I would stay some where else were you won't get sick from the plumbing backup and you won't have to deal with the extremely rude staff. There's much better places around this hotel to stay at . The sewage smell is always in the hallway and they don't care for the customers who stay there. I'd stay away from this place at all costs this place makes motel six look like the Hilton .
