Welcome to your new favorite retreat on the Frio River!
This phenomenal, spacious 3,600 sqft home has everything you need to have the best vacation on the river, and feel right at home.

This home features 5 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, and 2 half-baths; it now sleeps 33 people! The great room is stunning, fully-furnished with inspiration from King Ranch, giant 5" thick native Pecan counter tops (which are handmade by the owner) and a fully-stocked kitchen and bar area.

The kitchen has 2 full-sized refrigerator/freezers, a commercial gas oven/stove combo, large walk-in pantry, plenty of cabinetry/storage space and all the utensils, kitchenware and dishes you need.

You will be blown away by this tree haus. Not only do you have everything inside the home, but outside you have your own HUGE covered porch, an 18ā€™ jetted cool spa, and a NEW 6 person Hot Tub........!! and an outdoor kitchen space! Porter's features its own grand porch looking directly at the Frio River! The porch is equipped with a huge outdoor fireplace, plenty of couches/seating, 3 large dining tablesā€”and donā€™t forgetā€” a 18ā€™ jetted cool whirlpool spa overlooking a beautiful view!

We allow you to park right on the river's edge with your vehicle for tailgating and watching the thousands of folks float right past our private riverfront shore.
Guests love our private river access! This keeps you out of the hustle and bustle of River Road, and only 200' away from your room!
One of our great features here at VacationFrioRiver is that we offer a complimentary tube shuttle service in our fully air-conditioned modified airport shuttle bus!
We will gladly drop your party off at Seven Bluffs Crossing for a 2-3 hour float that ends Right At Our Private Riverfront! You'll be back in time for lunch!

Last minute plans? Need more guest rooms? Our property manager can work with you to schedule some of our other suites to combine with this home to suit your group's needs!

Bed sheets, protective pillowcases are provided in this rental. Please note that we do NOT provide towels!

Unfortunately, pets are NOT allowed in this home.

[During the months of October-April, the cool whirlpool spa for this home is not in service, however we offer a grand 14x23ā€™ pool with water feature, shared by guests in the off-season only. From Memorial Day-Labor Day (peak season), the 18ā€™ cool whirlpool spa is in service, for private use by guests of Porterā€™s Tree Haus and the 14x23ā€™ pool becomes exclusive to guests of another one of our luxurious homes, Haggville Hacienda.]

Porter's Tree Haus is a Fantastic Place to Stay. The house has everything you need to cook your Family's Meals in and there is also a 2 drawer Dishwasher ( I don't like to wash dishes). The house is big enough to have a small Family Reunion at, lots of outdoor and indoor seating and Lots of beds to accommodate everyone. Just a very short walk to the river but you can drive and park at the river for the day. Donny is an extremely nice and helpful Host, We will stay at one of his places again!

My family of 10 adults and 9 kids spent four nights/five days at Porter's Tree Haus and it was perfect, the home is beautiful, clean and a short walk to the river. The outdoor area/kitchen is amazing, and it is where we spent most of our time, so much room and the small pool was great for the kids after spending all day in the river. Bedrooms were comfortable and the AC in the house worked great. Kitchen cookware and utensils were abundant. Being able to drive a truck to the river for tailgating was also a plus, we put up our canopy and never worried about anyone bothering out things. We cooked every meal at the house because no need to go out when you have the indoor and outdoor kitchen as you do in this home. We booked our stay for next year already because it just doesn't get any better than.

A large group of us stayed here for the eclipse. Donny was totally accessible and helpful and added a lot to our visit. We were all thankful for his assistance. The property is amazing, the river was lovely. The house itself is interesting and quirky, lots of personality. The one practical tip Iā€™d offer for future guests is to bring absolutely everything you might need food-wise in with you. They donā€™t supply anything (eg salt and pepper, condiments, etc) and in fairness donā€™t pretend to. And anyway there are grocery stores and lots of restaurants close by. Overall a great experience, highly recommended!

We had a blast. Place had plenty of privacy despite being close to other units. Golf course was decent. The only thing I would change is the time of year we went. It was incredibly hot and the river was low in late August.

Communication prior to arriving was great. Check in process was easy. Their was a small hiccup with the propane the first night but it was fixed as soon as it was possible and did not affect our trip at all. The location was great and loved being able to drive our truck down to the water. The water was super low and we were unable to float but enjoyed the house and hanging out down at the water. Donny was super helpful when needed and the house was gorgeous with everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

Total relaxation. Close walk to the river. Clean refreshing swim pool. Comfortable beds. Lots of refrigeration storage. Excellent patio seating areas. Outdoor tables for dining. Both Texas style smoker grill and gas grill. Everything you need for sweet retreat!

This was a great house for our group of 13. The only small issue is that even though there's tons of beds in this house, privacy can be a concern and coordinating groups in rooms. If you are flexible with that, it's fantastic. Plenty of room in the living and kitchen area is great, and there is no shortage of tables and places for large groups to sit and enjoy inside or outside. The river was low, but we can't control that part. Donny was very helpful in taking us to a place on the river with more water and a little bit of "floating" with what we had to work with. All in all, Donny was a great help and was very responsive. We recommend this place highly.

This property is so beautiful. The outside areas were so nice for relaxing and conversations. The private section of river is perfect for playing in. Donny is super responsive. The upstairs seems to stay a little warmer than the downstairs area, thereā€™s even free laundry machines on site. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night. We will be back! Lovely place

We spent New Year's weekend with a group of friends @ the property. The house was great with multiple gathering areas, fire places, and the outside covered area was fantastic. Very close to the river, and with its own private access. Donny is a great host who addressed any questions or comments we had immediately. We will certainly go back again.

We have stayed 7 years in a row around the same time. Although the price has gone up over the years (most likely due to the property taxes in the area), its always worth it because of the view and freedoms provided by the location and owners of the property.
