Very pleasant and helpful staff at front desk, in housekeeping and in dining areas. Especially loved the hot tub (large, hot and incredible jets) and the happy hour amenities. I would highly recommend this property for business or pleasure.

When we arrived at the 3pm check in time, we were notified that our room was not available, and wouldn’t be for another hour. One of the managers gave me attitude when I asked for compensation for their mistake and told me she couldn’t do anything because we booked through a third party. After 45 minutes sitting in the lobby, they had a room available. Another manager gave us drink vouchers for the restaurant bar and sent a room comp certificate for a future stay. Overall should have been handled much better by staff. Otherwise was a fine hotel. Valet was great.

Great hotel in a great location with exceptional, friendly staff. The room was quiet and we never had to wait for an elevator. The breakfast and Take Five food/drink offerings were plentiful and delicious.

We had a delightful stay at this hotel, which proved to be a wonderful choice for my family. My son was particularly thrilled with the pool, spending a lot of time and fun in the water. What set this place apart for us was the complimentary meals provided; both breakfast and dinner were included, which was a pleasant surprise and greatly appreciated. The addition of free drinks added a nice touch to our dining experience. And let's not forget the popcorn – a fun snack that we all enjoyed! We're already looking forward to our next visit to Cleveland, and there's no doubt that we'll choose to stay here again. Highly recommended for families looking for a comfortable and accommodating place to stay.

What stood out to me was the exceptional quality of the staff. They were, without exception, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful…could not have been better. The building itself was unique and comfortable. We will without doubt seek out Drury Plaza Hotels in our future travels.

Hotel is centrally located alongside a memorial plaza and easy walking from the airport train line. Very walkable neighborhood with many beat by restaurant options, plus PM drinks breakfast included at the hotel.

Charming historic building that used to be a municipal Board of Education headquarters. Lots of marble! Terrific location in downtown Cleveland, walkable to both ballparks, the Rock&Roll Hall of Fame, and many dining options. Hot free breakfast every morning, and a free happy hour with “dinner” every evening make this popular with families. Rooms are large, comfortable and clean although I don’t love the decor (kind of dark). We were on the “quiet floor” but because of the occasion (eclipse) there were kids running and screaming in the hallways which was annoying but at least stopped at night. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I like how the hotel is fairly clean compared to other hotels. I didn’t like the parking situation or the lack of help the desk person and valet was.

The hotel and staff were excellent, except one very rude woman Saturday morning behind the front desk. I gave this a 3 because the whole hallway smelled like marijuana and we were approached by a severely stoned guy to smoke weed with him as we were trying to getting to our room. He was not removed or moved to a new floor. Also, the breakfast and dinner included were so crowded. And we knew many were off the street and not guests of the hotel. Same with pool and spa. Couldn’t get near it as so many people walking in wearing coats and had belongings in backpacks clued us that they weren’t guests either. Yes you need an elevator room card to access pool but it appeared that either staff was letting in friends or one person had a room there but literally let all of their friends in to use the services of free meals and pool/spa. Absolutely NOT acceptable. The hotel needs a better system to monitor amenities because dinners and pool area were absolutely horrendous. If this hotel charged 120 a night I wouldn’t say a word. But for 300 a night, I do NOT expect to have amenities overrun buy non paying people coming in off the street. Also, valet did their best but two shifts including checkout only had one person working. It’s a beautiful hotel and very friendly and kind staff. But it needs better management and enforcement of no loitering.

Rooms were clean , staff was polite and helpful, hot tub was a little dirty but the pool was clean. Good food at the teachers lounge and really enjoyed breakfast as well. Over all we enjoyed our stay and will be back soon!

Gorgeous building to begin with! Check-in was easy and simple. Beautiful lobby with west-facing light coming in made it especially pretty. Upon entry into our room, we were stunned by the high vaulted ceilings, large windows and size of our room. The pool and hot tub were adequate though I am not sure where we were supposed to shower before hand (our room?) The evening drinks/dinner reception and breakfast times were very well stocked and the staff were kind and attentive. Lots of options of food and drink for our needs, though lots of unhealthy options prevailed but we were able to find a few healthy options like salad, fresh fruit, oatmeal and vegetables. We had great sleep as it seemed quite quiet and did not hear much noise at night beyond a door or two in the morning opening in the hall. Lots of parking options around the hotel and close to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and sports venues. We would gladly stay at another Drury hotel in the future.

The property is beautiful, the historical building is well kept, and the rooms are clean and well suitable. The only downside was the toddler who hit the floor and continued to run around at 7:30 this morning.

I only had a couple of interactions with the staff since my main objective was at the Cleveland Clinic. They were not rude, they were just standoffish and were not into friendly conversation.

This was the best choice I have made in a hotel in years! This hotel is everything I was expecting and more. The entire staff are friendly and attentive. Every interaction I had with staff was pleasant. The Valet service is awesome, I rested easy knowing my car was safe and covered for my stay, the electronic call system for it was very easy to use as well. The rooms are exactly as they look in the photos, not the biggest rooms however my family of 4 was comfortable for the weekend. If we stayed longer we would have wanted a suite. The hotel itself is stunning! The building is the old Board of Education building built in 1930. It has all the charm and aesthetic beauty from that era but with modern amenities all around. The food at the Kick Back and Breakfast is good, the selection was big enough where no one was left wanting. The pool and jacuzzi were large enough to accommodate many guests at once, and the layout is perfect for a parent to relax in the spa while having a direct sight line to the kiddos as they play and swim in the pool. The location is great as it is in the middle of downtown and everything seemed to be 10 minutes or less to get to. Every time I come to Cleveland this will be the hotel I stay in with my family. We cannot wait to visit again!

Beautiful hotel and the staff was awesome. But the hotel it self was very dirty. Not sure if that's common in that area. We aren't from the area and for what we paid per night the experience was definitely horrible. The pool was absolutely disgusting and very cold. The hot tub was even dirtier then the pool was. The rooms weren't horrible for the most part clean but again for what you pay it could have been better. Definitely won't be staying again when we come back this summer.
