The hotel is very nicely appointed. The location is wonderful, near the City Market, water, restaurants, shopping and points of interest. The morning offers a continental breakfast which was satisfactory and sufficient. The afternoon offers a wine and cheese hour which was also satisfying. There is major construction going on within the building however it did not affect our stay. The weekend was overflowing with tourist due to SEWE which made it tough getting around by bus, walking was also hectic. The town is charming and a must see and do on anyone's list.

The hotel staff made the stay here wonderful - there seemed to be nothing they wouldn't offer to help with, get you, find for you. All were great to talk with and get to know. The location is wonderful. My dogs were welcome which is a very serious plus for such a great location And when the renovations are complete, I will look forward to staying here again.

Do not know that the hotel is under major renovation. It wasn’t noisy, but the “multi service” room that provided a “front desk”, lobby, breakfast seating, and happy hour was not expected. We’ve stayed at this location for years so a bit disappointed that there was no warning of the current conditions. No bar or warm cookie🙁

Great location in the historic district and walkable distance to the cruise line terminal. Staff was super friendly and the room was pleasant. Construction happening next door, but since I was there over the weekend, it wasn’t a problem. Only real fault I found with my room is that the toilet ran if you didn’t giggle the handle.

Excellent location. We were able to walk to many great restaurants and bars. It was just a short walk to Riverside Park to walk our dog, who was welcomed with enthusiasm. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful with directions and local areas.

Not on Market Street, but worth the Stay.
Oddly enough, this hotel is not on Market, but it is one block away and is within walking distance to everything downtown. Staff was great. Complimentary beer, wine, and cheese between 4;30 & 5:30. Valet service was nice and about the same as public parking in the area. Our room was large with a comfy bed and a nice marble bathroom. Our room was one of two rooms with a balcony. Based on all the above, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We came down to stay in the heart of Charleston. This hotel was there. The real problems with the hotel were that it was being renovated and the continental breakfast was not great. The pillows were also extremely flat. I’m not sure for the price I would stay there again, but it was a good place. Also, the staff was awesome.

Service was fantastic, The building was beautiful. It was right off Market street. My wive and I loved it. the only downside was that the free breakfast was sub par. aside from that, everything was great.

A Nice and clean hotel with a great location nearby Meeting street and the historical Market. There is a public garage right across the street with reasonable pricing (up to $25 per day) which make the hotel's valet service a little redundant and expensive (unless you take out the car a few times a day).

Potential to be great
Hotel is under much-needed renovations. Current guest rooms are not renovated and construction does not interfere with the stay, but it's old and it feels old. The updates will be a welcome change. Wonderful staff. Needs were met without delay.

This hotel was great. The location was perfect if you want to be in the historical area. The staff were wonderful and yes it was clean. I would have given it 5 stars if it weren’t for the bed. It was very hard and I did not get any sleep. Fortunately we were only here for one night on our 2 weeks of travels.

The staff at the hotel was excellent and super helpful all weekend long. The rooms were very clean and the valet service was extremely nice. The continental breakfast was an area of growth for the hotel, but overall we had a great stay.

Front desk staff, as well as everyone else, was so friendly and helpful (especially Charley). Clean room. Attentive staff. Close to all major attractions. If I visit Charly again I would definitely consider this place again.

Clean, friendly and accommodating!
The wife and I got a king room. Basically we only require a clean, well kept spot to crash. Thought the area would be great. Centrally located. Was not disappointed at all. While the hotel is undergoing some remodeling and construction, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The bed was super comfy! The housekeeper was exceptionally nice. Did a wonderful job keeping us stocked with complimentary waters and clean towels! Lol! For a complimentary breakfast it was pretty good! We will definitely be back. And recommend this place for a reasonably priced, great location to everywhere spot!
