A convenient place to stay if you want to access the walks at Alishan. The hotel offers a shuttle bus service and half board (breakfast and dinner) is included.

The hotel is somewhat deep in the park itself. This is slightly annoying for those with luggage, as you might need to find and wait for the shuttle bus, but it means that it's actually very close to chaoping station, which is where most people begin their hike, and you can always take the train to chaoping station.
The property itself is well maintained and clean, and the room are spacious and well equipped. There is a very nice observation deck on the 8th floor with one of the best views of the Alishan sunset (many of the other observation points can be blocked by trees during spring/summer). And as a bonus, you don't have to trek back to your hotel in the dark.

Alishan Hotel is a beautiful hotel in the magical forest of Alishan. We enjoyed our stay at the property and the magnificent trees surrounding us. The staff was warm and helpful and were eager to ensure we had a comfortable stay.
Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and well maintained facilities with a convenient location to the forest paths in the park made this an unforgettable trip for us.
